Basic laptop for basic needs

The laptop provided by my company is pretty high end so going to this Asus laptop is a huge difference. The display is just the right size and the resolution is just okay. The Intel Core i3 processor is enough for basic tasks. I only plan on using this laptop for web browsing and streaming videos on youtube. So far, the machine has performed as expected without any issues. I don’t do heavy word processing or spreadsheets, but I think if you have a huge file such as in Excel that has a lot of formulas, graphs or macros, this machine might not be able to perform as fast. The 8GB memory with 128GB SSD is also enough for my intended use. I was able to transfer and save a few thousand photos and videos from my SD card into the laptop without any problem. Overall, I consider this as a basic laptop that will work if you just want a personal laptop for browsing the internet and watching videos on YouTube. It is an okay laptop for the price. I would suggest a more powerful laptop if you are doing more complicated tasks.

It is powered by an Intel Core i3-1115G4 processor, 8GB of RAM, and a 128GB SSD. This configuration provides enough power for basic tasks such as web browsing, email, and office work. It has a sleek and modern design. It is made of aluminum and plastic, and it is available in a variety of colors, including transparent silver, slate gray, and indie black. The laptop is thin and lightweight, measuring just 0.6 inches thick and weighing 3.5 pounds and somehow feels less than that. It is also very sturdy, and it feels well-built but also light at the same time. I love when a laptop lives up to the hype of the weight and truly delivers on the idea of being a laptop. Doesn't get hot in your lap and easy to travel with. I also found that it handled some light gaming, but it is not powerful enough for demanding games. So easy cellphone like games. I personally recommend this for students, business users, and anyone who needs a reliable and affordable laptop.

Good computer but sales client misleading

Horrible customer service/support

Great laptop for this sale price...

Only con is lack of sd card slot; fixed by using a mini 128gb flashdrive. I'm leaving Windows 11 on it for now so I can support folks machines, in my circle. Likely will put Linux Mint on it someday. I removed S mode, installed Libre Office, Firefox, Anydesk. I'm VERY pleasantly surprised at how snappy everything loads up and works on this i3, easy to carry around, ASUS. I have not tested how long the battery holds up, but I suspect it is pretty decent. Most all my other machines have Linux Mint, so I'll probably leave this one with Windows 11, especially since it runs so well as is, and I need it for support. I'll give 4 stars on battery as it's life is unknown to me. I don't use this as a daily driver, but it's superb for my purpose. (Not used this machine much, so can't speak to longevity at this point.)

Solid "Everyday" Laptop with Easy Upgrades!
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I bought this laptop to use mostly as a host computer for audio engineering analysis software for speaker tuning and SPL readings. I was not concerned about the screen quality considering most places it will be used will be dark. I ended up adding 8gb of Crucial Ram from Amazon for like $30 and I swapped the SSD out for a 1GB WD Black Sn770 ($70). With both of those upgrades, the laptop is extremely fast and I have plenty of disk space. Programs like Ableton Live, load just as fast as they do on my much higher spec'd Macbook Pro. I would definitely recommend this as either a basic "everyday" laptop or a solid auxiliary laptop to add to your collection. Especially for programs you can't run on a standard Macbook.
