DIDN'T like too small for me. returned it to store.

It really comes down to what you are looking for. I wanted something that felt responsive, portable and didn't break the bank. The smaller size from 15.6 to 14 does make a huge difference for me when traveling or just going to the coffee shop. The laptop comes in just over 3 pounds and it is going to be near impossible to find anything with this performance for less. Beware, you will find other laptops with similar specs for less, but you are not getting the i5 8th Generation chip or 8250u chip. You will get a much slower i5 version 3427u, so be careful. In addition to the performance and mobility, the laptop has a nice design. There were a number of laptops that have similar specs, but they are more money and ugly. Looks matter to me so call me shallow=) The only other laptops, imho, that look good are the Lenovo(which I really like) and the Microsoft Surface(Best looking Machine). I really like both of those brands, but you are going to pay much more. If you are not looking for a gaming computer, then this one has everything a typical user usually wants. Pros - Size weighs slightly more than 3lbs Performance with i5 8th generation chip Cool look SSD drive instead of optical for much faster boots and application response HDMI and Media Card readers included Hi-Def screen Cons - The SSD is only 128GB, you may need some external storage Integrated graphics card too slow for gaming and possibly some applications TN screen, poor when viewing at angles(I only notice this on the dark objects) Not an issue for me because I sit in front of my laptop. My biggest apprehension when purchasing this Laptop was the TN Display, but when I fired this up at Best Buy it put all my worries to rest. To upgrade to Hi-Def IPS display and get the same specs you will have to pay quite a bit more. Lastly, Asus kind of blew it with the newer VivoBooks design. They don't have the same good looks due to lack of nano edge screen.

Got this for my grandson for graduation. He had it for a week and the screen went out. Had lines all through it. We were both very disappointed and I was embarrassed.

My mom bought this laptop a year and a half ago. She is careful with her stuff. A few days ago a line appeared on the screen. The laptop no longer works.

very disappointed with this purchase, it doesn't worth it, the laptop is really slow downloading programs and apps. it is not user friendly as it is complicated loading programs that get directed to Microsoft onedrive, which tends to get full pretty quickly and asking you to buy more space storage. the screen illumination is off even brightness is set up to standard level. overall, I wouldn't recommend unless you are looking for basic needs such as Netflix and browsing web.

This netbook gives off so much white noise and heat I found it impossible to use. I returned it within one day of attempting to make friends with it. I am a huge Asus fan, owning an Asus ZenPhone and two Asus Netbooks that are great. I am sure that if you enjoy white noise and do not mind heat from your device, this would have been a good deal. I got a Lenovo instead (first time owner of a Lenovo), and I am liking it just fine.

Not touch screen, keyboard not backlit. Deal breakers for me. I had to return this item.

I purchased a refurbished laptop. I'll never do that again. It likes to black out for a second or two when on Facebook. Sometimes it just closes it. When I play a game it has a delay in its actions. It has slowly developed these problems after a while. I installed an antivirus program first thing.

Laptop wouldn't work unless plugged in. Warrantied out and bought a surface instead.

less than a year old it crashed... wont turn on.. now what..??

I needed a new laptop for my Masters in Data Science program and didn't want to break the bank. This laptop is a champ and has really surpassed my expectations. The hardware is exceptional for the price point and really does strike a meaningful balance between performance and battery. If you manage the battery well, then expect it to last a long time. I flew from Seattle to Paris (10 hours) on a single charge and still had 20% left when I landed (I used my laptop almost the entire flight for homework and coding). The laptop is great, but It isn't perfect. The screen is OK. I don't think it is as bad as some of the prior review's say, but it isn't anything super special. My main complaint is the TOUCHPAD. It can be finicky at times, but hopefully well resolve it self with time. If not, then I'll just use a travel mouse. Don't let it deter you from this wonderful machine.

Super fast machine. Light and very portable. Ignore the reviews about the screen... it's fine. Perfect laptop for the price.

This laptop works very well and is very intuitive and fast. There are some negative reviews regarding the screen quality. I can tell you the screen quality is above standard for a work laptop. Loving the fact that it comes with a backlit keyboard and the laptop is very light. It also allows for light gaming, "ie: Minecraft, Roblox". You won't go wrong buying it if you want a good work laptop that won't break the bank.

I owned a Zenbook before buying this laptop. This laptop is much better than the Zenbook. It is faster and boots up almost instantaneously. The display is more than adequate and the battery last for around 6 hours. Keyboard is great. The weight is ideal. I use this laptop when on vacation travel and surf the net at home. I am totally satisfied.

Bought this for my mother and she mentioned that it was lightweight, fast and responsive, and the graphics were great for the small games she played on it. However it runs very very hot. When its started up, it is already at 38C and just gets hotter.

I bought this for college. I had an older ASUS that was okay but needed something a little newer. I was a little skeptical to find something but this computer works great. It's small and lightweight and is super quick! I'm not using it for gaming so I don't know how it would perform. But if you need something for school, this is a great buy!

It's easy to work with this laptop. I have not experienced any big problems until now. I'm not sure in case you're a gamer or you expect something special; however, if you just need a laptop for general use, such as studying and entertaining, I think this one is a good choice for you!

Needed an inexpensive PC for business school and this perfectly fits the bill! I mainly use this computer for Excel. I'm an advanced Excel user (only using keyboard shortcuts) and this laptop is great for that purpose - the keys have a satisfying click and the function keys work easily. Also, the Core i5 processor means that Excel runs quickly. The screen clarity isn't great, but overall, a wonderful budget buy!

The computer itself works great in most cases except for high load games or graphic renders which is expected for the price and graphics chip. Overall it’s great for school and work use.

I will continue to support, but the problem of buying goods is a problem, I hope BB will soon overcome this problem!
