Some reviews say it’s the best bang for the buck and it’s kind of true. Well made for it’s price. However the touch pad doesn’t function properly sometimes and could be very annoying

I bought this computer because of the sleek thin, weightless and easy to take with me. It is a fast computer. I am not use to the windows app but this computer made learning windows very easy. I would rate this computer on a scale of 1 - 10 a 10. Excellent

Short life

I only use it for school. The fan began blowing extremely loud and the next day the computer started running hot. I can’t use this computer for more than about 15-20 or it feels like it’ll burn thru the table. Won’t buy one of these again. (And not sure about the warranty selection…but mine only covered for a yr)

Don't get.

It then reloads the page I was trying to view. Happens all the time. Also, happens when watching youtube. It will pause mid-video, load a black page, then reload the video. Unacceptable for a brand new laptop.

Great Laptop
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I’ve had this laptop for over three years now and it’s been a great Laptop. The battery is amazing. I really can’t think of a better Laptop. Very lightweight and can be easily transported in a laptop bag or even a school bag that has a laptop holder when going to College/High school. My only gripe would have to be that the Keyboard is hard to use when you are trying to use it at night. A light for the Keyboard would’ve been nice to have as an added feature. The trackpad on the laptop works great I haven’t had to use a mouse with this laptop because the trackpad has met my needs while using it. Still runs fast after three years. Just overall a great Laptop.

Piece of junk!

Took it in to the Geek Squad who tried to deflect about how I didn't purchase any extended warranties on the product but everything should be fixed under manufacturer warranties. It's been 2 months!!!! As an Asus "Authorized Distributor" you have to go thru them (which the manufacturer website states if you go to ASUS) for repairs. Now I have to wait another 2-3weeks to determine whether it can even be fixed. Piece of $500 crap. I should've purchased another brand. Elsewhere!!! BUYER BEWARE!!!!

Hassle

The Vivobook i SETTLED to not have a 360, but you had to go to a series of steps to enable the touch screen. Every time Windows does an update you have to go through those steps again. Worth waiting for my old kind.

Touchscreen is automtically enabled by default, if this feature is available. However, the X521-DA doesn't have a touchscreen feature.
