    Sleek laptop with great performance, however a major source of disappointment. Days after the manufactory 1 year warranty expired a black line appeared in the middle of the screen and it continued to spread until the entire screen was black. Bestbuy was unable to repair it.

    It works for the price, advertised as 12gb of ram but only a 4gb slot so more push on the cpu, poorly optimized and bad battery life

    Works fine as a basic laptop. But it lacks some language support, e..g it only has traditional Chinese, not simplified Chinese, which is a bummer.

    Things that could have made this laptop better: - Backlit keyboard - Separation between keyboard and number pad. - Better weight distribution - Keyboard in general - Proprietary charger, USB-C would have been a better solution - Better speakers - More rigid body, too much flex. Things that are good + Extremely fast boot and good performance + Screen size + Touchpad size + Adequate memory (12 GB) + 3 USB, 1 USB-C, 1 HDMI, 1 Audio jack + Runs quite cool, has a nice design for airflow (No need to prop with a pencil to give better flow under the laptop) This is a good laptop that does nothing really well. It has 12 GB of memory and enough ports to satisfy your basic requirements. The laptop has some flex when typing on the keyboard. The cover seems to have excessive weight compared to the chassis. I had to disable the touchpad due to it registering touches while typing on my lap. This is a good laptop, but definitely not top end. The keyboard has odd travel to keypresses. I really do not like the keyboard layout either. The number pad is about half width. Would have preferred no keypad to the one used in this layout. This laptop should be fine for school, but I could not use it as a business laptop. It feels low end, but performance is better than the feel. Definitely get a mouse. Wi-Fi speed is good, but not great. Not a big fan of the preinstalled selection of software.

    New ASUS Vivobook stopped working within 2 weeks

    I bought a brand new ASUS Vivobook 16" laptop computer and it stopped working after 2 weeks of use. It was 2 weeks past the in-house warranty, so they had to send it out for repair. If a brand new computer breaks down after 2 weeks it's a piece of garbage. The crazy part about it is that I have to wait about a month to get it back. The computer broke down faster than it takes to repair it. They say first impressions are everything. I've never purchased an ASUS computer, but my first impressions is that it is a cheaply built piece of garbage. I will never purchase an ASUS computer again.

    Beware the pre-owned PC

    Just received this within the past three hours. Bought a reconditioned "like new" PC. It was odd that right out of the box, it didn't ask me to set it up. Because it was still set up for the previous owner. He was the administrator on it, it still had his files on it. i spent over an hour on the phone with BestBuy trying to get someone to give me a Windows Key for Windows 11 Home so I could do a factory reset. Then, after being transferred to the fourth department - Computers, where they were going to mirror the desktop and get me fixed right up - my call was inexplicably disconnected. So I will be returning this one. My local Best Buy is really glad I don't have time to do it today, because I'd be tempted to use some very choice words with them...

      If the pre-owned laptop was not factory reset by the seller, this can be easily resolved by doing the following. Press and hold the SHIFT key while issuing a restart command in the login screen. Release the SHIFT key when the “Please wait” screen appears. When the “Choose an option” window appears, click the “Troubleshoot” option, select Rest this PC. Choose to remove everything to delete all apps, settings, and files then slect how you want to reinstall Windows 11.

    Lightweight, Not Light in Performance

    We got this laptop to do normal, household duty such as banking, scheduling, and home improvement tracking. We're replacing an older, much less powerful machine that had served us well but was well beyond its useful life. We feel it was a wise choice. Physical - The machine is very lightweight and comes in a compact form with a thin profile. The entire box that included the laptop, charging cord, documentation, and power pack is about the size of a medium pizza box. It has a handle for easy carrying and has hardly any weight to it making it convenient to move around. The laptop itself is ultra-thin and light, but doesn't feel weak or fragile in any way. I carry it around like I would any piece of electronics. With care, but not like it's glass. Keyboard - The keyboard is full-sized except for the number pad. That is condensed and takes some getting used to that I just can't get comfortable with. It's a negative to me since we plan to use it for banking. However, it keeps the overall footprint of the laptop down so I understand. Monitor - The monitor is a good size that is big enough to read clearly, but not so big as to be cumbersome to use on your lap. It has a very clear and bright image that makes reading text possible even on smaller fonts. Of course, the image portion of the screen is nice and clear as well as you'd expect from modern laptops. It folds completely flat (180 degrees), but I've yet to find a purpose to put it in that mode. The best advantage I can say for that flexibility is you don't have to worry about damaging the hinge when you adjust it. Power - The cord and the power pack are small making it very convenient to move around. The cord is not magnetic, but fits snugly into the port. Since it doesn't waggle, you don't have to treat it with kid gloves when moving while plugged in (even though we all know you're not supposed to do that anyway). The battery life is excellent as well. I charged it after receiving it, then proceeded to use it off and on all day without needing to charge it again. It went into sleep mode, but didn't hibernate and I still got a full day out of it (not constant use, but consistent use). Windows - It comes with Windows 11 Home and comes configured in S mode. I was frustrated with the entire operating system at first because of this. I'm used to Pro versions and the limitation of S mode were infuriating to me. Windows Edge crashed several times as I tried to load various programs and I thought it was a machine thing. However, when I exited S mode I was able to install all the 3rd party software without issue and I realized it was Microsoft issue, not a laptop issue. I can't hold that as a negative to the machine. Performance - The laptop lives up to its specifications pretty well. Start-up is quick, loading up programs is fast, and switching between them is seamless. It's not a gaming machine so I didn't try to run any on it. However, I used it for executing macros on heavy spreadsheets and did some light C# compiling and it handled it fine. Watching online videos and browsing the web is smooth as well. Networking - The wireless adapter connected easily to my network and speed tests showed it pulling the full speed (350mbps). I've had no dropouts or noticeable lagging. Camera - I've used the camera for Teams meetings and the picture is clear and smooth. One nice feature is the manual shutter. I'm not a paranoid user, but it is very convenient to have a manual shutter to disable the camera and block it without worrying about software intrusion. Speakers - The speakers are okay. Not fantastic, not incredible, but okay. They work perfectly well for online meetings and training purposes, but I connected to an external speaker for watching videos/movies. Conclusion - The laptop is lightweight and highly portable with plenty of processing and graphic power for everyday home use. It also has the power and options to use it as a casual programming and business meeting machine. The condensed number keypad makes it less than optimal for heavy duty bookkeeping without an external keyboard, but is still better than having no numpad at all. This laptop works great, looks great, and sounds okay making it a perfect family wide machine. It will not replace a gaming machine, but you can play casual games and browse the web without any issues. I'm a fan and figure this machine will be our primary laptop for several years.
