HP computers are TRASH. every Hewlett-Packard laptop I have owned died only after a couple years. Complete trash

Will NOT Buy Another ASUS

The mouse pad is not sensitive, which means I'm continually having to warm up my fingers for it to work. It flies through the battery life. The screen quality is awful, and after a year, slowly fading and pixelating. I would have expected more, but after 18 months, I'm going back to an HP. This will be my last ASUS purchase.

Great Laptop

Definitely, the bigger the better especially when it comes to an ASUS laptop.
The laptop doesn't have a touchscreen features, and it was not advertised having one.

Great potential.

Unfortunately shortly thereafter someone broke into my car and stole it. But that's not best buys or the machines fault.

Like how it works the ease in learning how to navigate and the clarity is awesome. So glad of the recommendations of the Geek Squad especially of Dave in the Avondale store, he is upfront, very knowledgeable and such a great asset to Best Buy.

ASUS Vivobook 17.3 High Quality very affordable!

I went to the Best Buy website and looked for a laptop with the specs I needed and it HAD to be 17". I found this. Well...this ASUS Vivobook is INCREDIBLE!! It has everything I need and more! Great buy, Great Laptop. I am a fan for life!

Works well for everything I do on it (nothing too extreme). And I love that it has a number pad. One suggestion I have would be to make the characters on the keyboard easier to read - they kind of blend in with the keys especially in a darker room or when it's in a shadow

Should Have Bought Something Else

I realize it's a big laptop, but did not expect it to weigh so much. Battery life is terrible. Like two hours, max, and that's right of the box. Glitchy. For whatever reason, crashes all the time. I'd return it if I could and buy something different.

5.07 lbs, including the battery, is an average weight for a 17 inch laptop, regardless who the manufacturer is.
The battery life is approimately 6 hours with light to medium workload. In order to improve or prolong the battery charged time, please try to do a battery calibration manually. To start with, please drain it completely then charge it fully without using the system. Once fully-charged, please use the system, without the AC adapter connected, and drain it completely again. Also, please verify if the unit is running with the most current system update and third-party battery draining applications are not running if not in used.
The stability or performance issue is temporary during the initial WINDOWS setup and before installing cumulative WINDOWS Update, regardless what brand name of computer this may be. Once initial setup and WINDOWS Update installation completed, system speed or performance will be optimized. Keeping Windows updated will maintain optimum system stability and performance. If these steps were already performed to no avail, please try to run a diagnostics or optimization test using the "My ASUS" utility software or application. If this is not pre-installed on the laptop, please download the application at the Microsoft Store. For details on how to use "My ASUS", please go to: https://www.asus.com/support/FAQ/1041686/.
While accessing web applications, please make sure the unit has access to an established router and internet service is working properly since this will definitely affect system speed and performance.

Ease in ordering -- BUT -- did not register or use the Office 365 as already had a subscription -- awaiting a credit for this amount 69.99 !! Have called at installation then again about a week to ten days later -- still no credit to my account.

Asus Laptop but NOT RECOMMENDED

We chose the Asus Vivobook because of the spec with the Ryzen 7 and 512GB SSD. She like the device but I wouldn't say she was blown away as the laptop falls short in a few areas: Picture quality is very washed out and not vivid at any angle. The screen has a cheap knockoff look to it, albeit its not a 2k or 4k screen but you'd expect full HD to look nice and with this unit...it doesn't! Secondly the integrated camera lacks clearness. It too looks cheap and low resolution. The unit had a hard time streaming Zoom with her family which shouldnt be a problem but it was. I tinkered with the settings a little to smooth the video feed a little, but my wife was very disappointed. I wanted to return it to exchange for another brand but she just didnt want to go through the hassle and decided to keep it. I feel like I wasted $700 because the laptop fell way short of expectations. She uses it daily but I can tell she dosent enjoy it at all. I cant even believe this was sold with the Asus brand as its not the kind of quality typical of Asus. I would NOT recommend this item. I did rate this as Poor as it did work but I could not possibly rate it higher than fair. Would be Nice if Asus could explain why such a underperforming device made it to a showroom floor at a BigBox store.

The screen is in matte-finished, it will not have the same properties compare to a glossy display even though it is a Full HD resolution.
The camera quality will be affected if internet service or connection is poort or unstable. This will also affect Zoom experience. Please ensure the laptop has access to a stable internet connection.

ASUS VivoBook laptop

Boots fast and doesn't require a lot of resources to run smoothly. Only complaint I have is that the print on the keyboard is too close to the color of the keyboard itself, so it is hard to read the keys unless your at the right angle.

Mouse skips and jumps

This has happened to my fiance and daughter as well when I've had them try to see if its the laptop or just me so I'm confident the issue is with the laptop. Other then that issue its a good laptop. Just spending well over $800 in total for this laptop it shouldn't be having any issues in only a few weeks of purchasing it.

17in Laptop ASUS

I am getting use to the amazing things it can do without a hassle. I have a wireless printer and it picked it up and I was printing without any trouble. Still getting use to using its features it has, but I will conquer it, (for sure).

Good lightweight laptop

The price tag is nice and low at 6 to 700 and it does well for good usage, on the box says it is low for those who PC game, but otherwise it is ok. only thing had to go into the display settings to change the resolution to HD+
