What a lie! What a nightmare! Thank goodness the guy at the Geek Squad desk helped me set up the laptop before my son's 1st college class.

Geek squad untrained

The geek squad was unknowledgable as to how to correct poor contrast and higher resolution issue. The geek squad boy was vrry disrespectful and walked away after leaving me with a problem that he didn't have the understanding for. Anyhow Best Buys in Carmel IN. needs to train their Geeks better. As for this laptop I would not recommend it. I purchased it online and after 15 days there is a mo return policy at BEST BUYS. It is not your best bought laptop. Thumbs down on this laptop.

Terrible

Cannot open any of the apps I need for work. I had virus protection. I called geek squad multiple times and took the computer to the store. No resolution. I am now going through my credit card company to get a full refund, including 200 dollar geek squad fees.

Poor contrast in graphics

He said the graphics will not look like the other Lenovo laptops where the screen (no matter what you're viewing) looks like there's a white foggy screen over it; supposed to be an anti-glare filter, I think. No matter what I do with the screen setting and contrast, picture looks like someone is shining a bright light in my eyes, everything is white with no contrast. What a waste!

Terrible Computer

After 3 months of use I started to have serious hardware and display issues. It surprised me how cheaply made this was compared to all my asus computers from years past. This was a terrible experience and im going to have to send it back to the manufacturer and hope its covered under warranty.

Worst Laptop - Do NOT Buy!

It freezes all the time, is super slow and the audio is awful. The audio barely ever works and i have uninstall then reinstall the audio driver from the realtek website to get it to work again. I've done this so many times it is ridiculous. Spend your money on another laptop. This is not worth it.

Other than that it was an excellent laptop but I couldn’t see it so I had to return it!

Not bad, but not great.

We are recommending to install the device graphics card driver from the ASUS support page and please follow the steps below to complete the installation.
1. After the download is completed, go to where you saved the folder.
2. Right-click on the folder and choose ''Extract All'' and then choose ''Extract'' again.
3. After all the contents have been extracted, you may delete/disregard the folder with the zip icon.
4. Next, open the SETUP file.
5. Please choose to 'repair' or 'update' the existing installation (driver) if any one of those options does appear in the setup. Finally, restart after the installation is completed.

Stay Far Away From This One

And it is this laptop. I can be on a different one and Wi-Fi is faster on the VivoBook it is slow. I even returned one and got a new one. There's a possibility that there are background apps and Windows updates causing the unit to perform as it does. What we've observed with the Windows 10 operating system is that once the unit is not being used all background and installed apps including Windows updates will fire up and check for and install updates. This will cause the unit to run a bit hotter than normal and in turn ramp up the fan speed. We would recommend that the user check for and install all updates for all installed applications. Also check for Windows updates and make sure they're installed. Multiple restarts are recommended to ensure all updates are installed.
