I’ve always been a fan of Asus, but I was not happy with numerous aspects of this Asus. A few listed here: -The power cord is extremely short -Home, end, pgup, pgdn keys not above number pad. Located in function keys. -No backlight on keyboards (not all versions of this Asus have it apparently) -Sleep mode requires you to reload all webpages/videos. -Power button is next to delete key -letters on keypad are same silver color as keys -microphone needed full gain to capture sound -touch pad would often not pick up movements. Even with full sensitivity. Things I did like: -large screen -wider keyboard spacing -slim design -processor speed

I really like my Vivobook. It's easy to operate and it is quick. The screen is big enough to see everything.

I bought this for my mother to replace her 10-year-old HP. She's a lovely woman, and relatively smart for an 80 year old woman. College degree from U of Wi, etc. But she's absolutely clueless when it comes to some things, and computers are one of those things. She's been using a computer for 25 years, and she doesn't understand how to save something to a file, or how to go into files to look for something. If she gets a picture emailed to her, that picture lives in that email forever. It's alarming how clueless she is, for a relatively intelligent person. She can do absolutely nothing except for look at websites, play a few online games, read and send email. But she does her own taxes every year on Turbo Tax! She's smart about that. She definitely knows how to navigate US tax code. But then she'll "accidentally" sign up for amazon prime, or she'll "accidentally" delete an icon from Desktop, etc. Whenever I visit her, I have a list of things to "fix" on her computer. And I do it without complaint, and without showing any outward signs of frustration. Because really, I'm not frustrated. She's just a nice person, and she's my mom. This new computer is working out great for her. The 17.3" monitor is her favorite. She doesn't detect the speed advantage of the SSD, but it's there. Her only complaint, a complaint which I share by the way, is that the letter markings on the keys are very low contrast. And they're not backlit. So depending on the lighting in the room, sometimes the markings are almost invisible. That's a big demerit. I'm not sure how the designers could overlook such a glaring flaw. (Pun definitely intended.) Thanks for all the brownies, mom. We'll be visiting again real soon.

Fast load works well. Have had no problems with the computer. Would have been nice if keys were backlite.

I love this laptop. It is so easy to use, the big screen makes everything easier to see. It's light weight.

My son chose this model computer for he is an advent gamer. Upon reading reviews and knowing personally others that own this brand of laptop, he loves it and so far so good, the graphics of games played are impressive. As far as the keyboard, he found no issues due to the silver color making recognizing the strokes as a problem. He added another keyboard and said if he was ever in the market for another laptop, he would choose ASUS again.

Seems to be a great computer for my 90+ father. We did have to purchase some large print stickers to put on the keyboard. The silver on silver keys were too hard to see for him. The numbers on the sides though were are big help for him. Overall serving us well.

Pretty good laptop, lots power, the biggest con I can find so far is ASUS support is not as good as it used to and they are naming every single thing Vivobook so it is hard find stuff like upgrading info and who doesn’t put a backlit keyboard on a laptop these days

trackpad stopes working for a split second every once in a while but other than that I like it a lot and is very fast. I can play games like Forza and Fallout with ease. The display gives you enough backlight to see the keyboard with it all the way down if you don't know how to type. This is the fastest computer you will get for the price hands down.

Solid laptop, fast, and can even enjoy some light gaming, excellent for work and entertainment

Great laptop. Got it for a steal. Can’t complain it doesn’t everything I need it to do.

Very fast. Good graphic processing. Only thing I would change would be to add a backlit keyboard.

So far, so good. A few laptops I've had recently needed repair in the first few weeks, but this one works nicely after close to a month. The screen is wide, which I like. The only complaint is that I would have added more contrast or a different color to the keys, which are the same color as the rest of the laptop (silver on silver). But it appears quite sturdy. I definitely recommend this, especially for the price.

I am very satisfied upntobthis point. Way faster than my previous laptop. I use this for work and it has really helped me out a lot. The keyboard color scheme ,well that is my only complaint but not a deal breaker for me. I'm very happy I bought it.
