I was totally happy with my purchase of this inexpensive lap top. It was easy to set up and to connect to wifi. It also connected without any wires to my Samsung smart TV.

I was looking for a middle level laptop for my son going to middle school in a few months , it's great , it does and have the capacity to do what he needs , great price

This is an affordable option for my sons first PC. Doesn't need bells and whistles and is perfect for school. PC has parental controls and monitoring. My son is 10.

I bought this as a Christmas present for my wife, 3 days after the she plugs it up? The charger stops working, after getting an RMA and getting it mailed to a repair center, the first 33 days of checking the status, I get in touch with customer service, they keep saying my case is being escalated, why? Because they say they haven’t received the charger yet, so after checking with the post office, and confirming it was delivered to the address ASUS supplied me, ANOTHER 15 days pass, they still say they haven’t received charger, so NOW they’re demanding proof of delivery from the post office, which they don’t do with regular mail, so I get a case number and the tracking information and forward it to asus. 9 days later? They send an email saying it was delivered to the WRONG ADDRESS, mind you? It’s the address THEY TOLD ME TO SEND THE CHARGER TO!!! and they say it’s the wrong address because they only receive mail at ONE DOOR behind the building, next to the receiving dock, not the front of the building, that’s marked with the address they sent me....I would avoid buying any asus product unless your content getting the run around from “customer support”.

I would love to get my money back, but I know it will be a whole process. I bought an open box Asus laptop for a christmas gift. The price difference from a closed box to an open box was 20-30 (can’t recall the exact amount) I pay for an open box because it was certificated to be in functional conditions. What did I get? An open box with a laptop missing the charger and to make it worse, the laptop is not functional!! I spent additional money to buy a charger and try to solve the problem. The thing is that the laptop did not even work. It keeps shutting down even connected to the charger. It keeps throwing driver errors. I tried to fix this problem aswell with additional money, of course, so I went with a technician and it has no reparation!! So dissapointed, I was going to buy a laptop from eBay, but ended up choosing Best buy due to the great reviews this store has. Not a good experience at all. A total of $280 wasted.

This laptop was one of the cheapest that I could find, and satisfied what it was needed for. Schoolwork and light surfing the internet. If that is all you are looking to do, this computer will work for you.

Was a replacement for an older model that I needed for Radio communications has worked out VERY WELL and does just what I need it to do and at a good PRICE.

1.1 ghz ....is reallllllly slowwwww..I really wanted to love this...the size, the weight, the price ($219)...I just wanted something to check my mail, check my facebook, play some card games while hanging out in the 'mancave' ...so I wanted cheap....taking it back today...I found another one with a 2.9 ghz for a few $$ more...

I would go with a pentium or Apple brand. Every thing is slow on this pc.

My girlfriend and I got this for her daily use. She is constantly having problems with it. Tracking pad randomly doesnt work, laptop wont fully boot up half the time, loads internet pages at dialup speeds, etc. Its a cheap laptop but you're better off spending a little more for something more reliable.

Apple is getting a bit glitchy even with new products. I don't like the plug going away from magnetic and you have to purchase a extra component to connect to USB. LOVE the slide bar vs touch screen.

My 8 year old Dell is faster. This computer lacks speed.

It won’t charge, going to return/exchange it. I hope Best Buy will replace it.

SO this machine isn't perfect and please don't expect it to be. You're buying a $230.00 laptop don't think it's going to be lightning fast out of the box. It comes with Windows 10 and sadly it's a resource hungry operating system. The computer will be slow and have a rough time with more than one or two apps open at the same time. visually it looks great but it's hard to get past the speed issues. I really like windows but this laptop won't run it efficiently. if you have any computer skills what so ever you can side load a windows like version of Linux like Zorin Os or Chalet Os either is great for this machine and it will run lightning fast without issues and of course if you still need windows you can split the harddrive in half and use half for Linux and the other half for windows so you'll get the best of both worlds. I haven't had the issues that other people have had with the system just shutting off or not holding a charge. So far the hardware seems solid on this machine. For the people that are upset because this pc can't play dvds without buying special software, seriously people, we live in the age of the Internet. Go to any search engine and look up open source media player and get one for free. Don't give the pc a bad review just because you didn't do your research. Overall this is a great little PC and it was extremely cheap so i can't complain. I hope this helps out.

got this laptop at a great price for the kids, comes with Office 365, great deal.

My main computer has a ssd for it's storage. This one uses an hdd so it boots slower and works slower. That said, it functions okay for most things. I have run into an issue that is strange. When it is running from the power cord and you unplug it to move it somewhere else, it turns off, like it has no battery.
