My grandson was able to load appropriate software and download all updates with no problem and he's not exactly computer savvy.

its a great laptop but you have to download to much just to used it for some things. wish you didn't have to buy so much, cause most laptop come with the item you need

decent computer, does what I need done and for a good price

This is a very basic laptop, but it does everything that you need to go online (e-mail, purchases, videos). If you just need a basic computer it is a great option.

It was so painfully slow at first ,, I had to go threw the whole computer ,, it took me a week just to hook up my iPhone to it .. but after I changed and configured it to my personal settings it isnt dead slow it’s moderatly slow ... but a big improvement still slow

We’re having some trouble with the power connection, but it will be fixed under the warranty. Other than that very pleased. I’ve had 3 Asus laptops and I like them.

it is a nice laptop that gets what I need done. For example my emails and looking at photos. So far happy with purchase.

This laptop does everything that I need. The only drawback is it is not touchscreen. I really like the size of the screen.

Extremely slow computer.. better off fixing your old one

The laptop itself is very fast for the price. I was surprised how well it was working when I was setting it up for my grandfather! A few months after, my grandfather noticed it was shutting down on him. I tested it and found out that the laptop would shut itself off randomly if it was moved sometimes. I work at Geek Squad and have seen a number of these returned for the same issue, all regarding random shutoffs of refusing to turn on entirely. I would NOT recommend this computer given the hardware issues, which is a shame because of how fast it is. The issue with it shutting down seems to be related to the battery, which is not replaceable. If you're having this issue, it can be repaired at Geek Squad.

Laptop is slow and does drag and lose signal at times

We bought this as a Christmas gift for my teenage daughter and she absolutely loves it. We have had no issues with it and it was easy to set up. A great value!

Bought this as a gift for my 16 year old son for his birthday and he absolutely loves it. Can run slow at times. But does everything he needs for it to do.
