Firstly the ink cartridges too a while to be inserted.. afterwards it did its pretest where it aligns to paper etc. It printed one sheet and that was it. it became a Jam festival with no guitars. I need to return it this weekend. No confidence in the unit and it looks awesome with the touch screen etc to operate it. But without it working its just a pipe dream. First time I've bought a printer that has done this.

I'm sure it would be a great PC. I saw it on an open box deal. Physically it looked good. However it seems it has program or hardware issues. Shuts off for no reason then once booted back up does not recognize password to login. I just don't think one should have to troubleshoot problems that clearly could have been tested by seller first. Especially a company who has an in house "squad".

I returned this product shortly after I bought it. It took almost 5 minutes to boot up and even longer to grt on the internet. I returned and upgraded to an HP. When Talking to the employee who assisted me he showed me the ASUS laptops lined up that had been returned. Don’t waste your time or money. I was trying to save some money but learned real quick not to go for cost over product

    Updates cause bad rap

This machine is probably the best value in its price range. The hardware is more than capable of doing most anything the average user is going to do. The case is of average build quality for its price range and though it feels a bit flimsy, it should hold up well. The screen is decent and the speakers are fantastic. Battery life is about average as well. I see that there are a few issues with shutting down. I suspect that this could partially be due to the fact that it uses a keyboard key for a power button. It's very easy to brush it and the screen goes off instantly, though the machine is still on. I'm sure that there could be hardware issues causing this issue as well. I would think that a weak power key return spring could cause much havoc. Since It appears that many of the cheap computers are using this design as well, it is probably going to be a problem across many brands. I've also read about it being sluggish and unstable. I believe this is mostly due to windows updates running in the background. I have 8 computers of various brands and all of them have been struggling with the latest bunch of windows updates. These updates are not supposed to interrupt your usage but I have found that they have been causing all of my machines to be sluggish and unstable. If you leave the machine on for long periods of time while its not being used and restart it often, it should finish updates and it runs very well. Mine opens programs and webpages just about as fast as I can click on them. It plays video flawlessly and touch pad works very well. This machine surfs the web and runs all my programs as fast as my desktop with a 3.7ghz i3 and 8gb or ram. The only negative thing I can find with this machine is that the fan emits a low hum/buzz noise that can be annoying in a very quiet room. It's really not noticable while using the machine on a solid surface, but if you pick it up and hold it at various angles the volume increases and the character of the noise changes. Most people don't hold a computer of this size anyway, so it probably won't be an issue.

This computer is cheap. In all senses of the word. Doesn't cost a lot, doesn't come with a lot. Except bloatware, there's so much of it pre-loaded onto the computer and ASUS makes it incredibly difficult to remove it. It would probably be a nice budget computer if it didn't come with all the bloatware.

      Dear Valued Customer,

Thank you for sharing your feedback with us and I am terribly sorry to hear that you have received a Blue Screen after only 10 months of usage and this is not the type of experience that we want our customers to have. Have you reached out to our support line for assistance with this issue? Can you provide me with the exact error message that you are getting on the Blue Screen? I would recommend that you get your data backed up and try a factory reset on the unit. You should be able to access the recovery options by tapping on the F9 key on startup. Once you get to the recovery options you can try a refresh, which will not remove any personal data but will delete any apps and programs that did not come with the PC or you can also try the reset which will bring the unit back to its original factory state. If the reset does not work we would be happy to assist in taking a look at your servicing options. You can email us at [email protected] and use the link to this review as a reference. I do look forward to any future interactions that we may have and please have a wonderful day.

      Thank you for choosing ASUS.

      Best regards,
      Abigail.

Laptop stop working after 2 weeks , I took it back to the taylor location geek squad tried to charge me $200. I had to send it to the manufacturer company hopefully they will fix it because best buy refused to unless I paid the $200 which is crazy since They gave me a warranty. Now I have to do homework at the library, I will never buy anything from them again
