I broke my Lenovo that I bought for the same price two years ago and it was way faster then this one. I also my Levono's resolution was better. Last thing was the design looked good in store but I got home and realized it was a girly rose gold and not silver. I returned before 15 days.

Bottom end laptop with cheap battery

If you are looking for a cheap laptop that is slower than the floor model than this once will do. Performance is not very good and the battery is very cheap. Only had it for 2 months and have to send it in because the battery went bad. won't have it for at least 2 weeks. Regret buying it.

Slow to respond and the plugin for charging the battery is loose so it keeps saying " not plugged in, working on battery". So that is quite upsetting. Other features are ok.

I bought this laptop for my husband for Christmas. Told the salesperson that I needed a basic laptop, that my husband just goes online to check his emails, FB once in a while, that he doesn’t download a lot of videos or anything else. This was the laptop he recommended. It’s already been in for service once after it wouldn’t power up. They kept it two weeks to tell us that a screw was loose on the inside. Then the other night it powered up but the screen stayed black. Took it in and it came on, of course. Last nite it powers up but nothing would open. Rebooted and it was fine. I wouldn’t expect this thing to run like an expensive model laptop but I would expect it not to have issues within three months of purchase.

We have a more expensive asus and figured a very basic one should be fine for just browsing. We were wrong. It freezes up quite a bit and doesn't seem to respond well.

I bought the Asus X541NA-PD1003Y, after one day using it I found that when I lift it up to move it to one side to other it shut down. It looks there were a shortcut or something like that, so I return it and bought a new one, it works ok for a month, suddenly one day it doesn't charge any more, the adapter works ok but the notebook has no power, second notebook not working. The worst was when I call the asus local service and I discovered that the international warranty is not covered in South America. For sure I will never buy an asus product again, the quality is a disaster and the post sale service worst.

    Not even a beginner laptop....

Aside from the terrible aesthetics, this was just a bad laptop from the beginning. The display is clear/ Sharp but not 4k. That ends the "pro" side. The cons include: Minimal hard drive space, PENTIUM processor that seems to spawna black hole you attempt to actuate any basic program on this laptop, no way to upgrade memory or graphics, and the coup de grás... a laptop that was in no way portable because every time you picked it up it would shut off. Total garbage no matter what lost price.

You get what you pay for. The computer is really cheap for a reason. I purchased this about 10 months ago. The computer will shut off unexpectedly for no reason. The hard drive is failing. I know this because it starts in safe mode and displays an error message telling me so. I tried calling ASUS, but their support is horrible.

Defective right out of box, computer will not find ac cord when computer is running, appears to be a computer or windows 10 issue, computer should be totally recalled, go online and search and you will find out this computer has battery and cord power issues....manufacture contact and finding a solution was a waste of time.

Wireless adapter does not support 5ghz connections (Realtek RTL8723BE). Absolutely unacceptable. I have a ten year old laptop that is compatible with 5ghz. Think I will return this system in the morning.
