Good specs and performance but terrible track pad
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I actually really liked this computer, the keyboard is nice, the screen is good, boots quick, barely any bloatware. But after using for a few weeks I had numerous problems. The trackpad would occasionally (4-5 times in my ownership) just stop responding or randomly click all over the screen and scroll up and down. Also, one time when I pushed the lid open the front plastic where the screen is separated from the top and I had to snap it back together. So I did not trust the build quality of this, even if mine was possibly defective, I ended up exchanging for another machine.

I certainly understand your disappointment with the product and the inconvenience if you started experiencing issue with the touchpad. Please install cumulative WINDOWS Update periodically In order to maintain the touchpad responsiveness and system stability. If you are accessing web applications, please verify if the laptop has access to an established router and internet service is working properly since this will affect the responsiveness of the touchpad. Also, try updating the ASUS Smart Gesture utility and try to configure the touchpad within the application. It is a smart device, please allow some time to get use to the multi-touch function of the pad. In order to improve the touchpad responsiveness and stability, please install all recommended WINDOWS Update.
