I bought my computer as an open box item. It was $217. For the price, it functions as a medium speed computer, If your looking for a speedy unit, this ain't it. It does just fine for basic tasks and browsing. I had no problems with initial start up and then I spent maybe a day tweaking it to get it more personalized. It runs very quietly and has good battery life. I can browse for about 5-6 hours on battery or stream a video for a little over 3.No heat issues and the display is great. One thing that bugs me is the fact that there's no indication that I can find that shows when the Cap Lock is either on or off. KInda weird but that 's the only issue I have other than I'm not so fond of Windows 10 and the mandatory updates.

This notebook seems to be a really good value. I don't use it that much..my phone is just as quick. But, I really like it--I just added a wireless mouse.

The laptop was no speed demon to begin with and then I found out the RAM wasn't upgradeable so that was its demise. For $50 more I got far more computer.

Decent price for what you get. Good for my school work.

I don't know if it's my Internet or the laptop but the lag is incredibly frustrating. However, it does a great job with my daughter's Sims game and it was very inexpensive so I can't complain too much.

This computer does everything I need it to at a great price. The keyboard seems a little cheap but works great and I have had no ploblems at all. I use it for on-line inventory checks and web searching.

My kids love this laptop. They use it for home school. They also play games on it. Sometimes it disconnects from the internet. We just restart it and it works fine. It is a good laptop for the price.

I've purchased two Asus laptops because they are affordable, compact and efficient at completing the work I need to do and store. Thank you for providing great customer service and awesome products.

We bought two of these laptops for my daughters who were starting online classes. They're good for word processing, surfing the web and document storage, which is the purpose for which we bought them. One of them gives us issues when trying to connect to certain WiFi networks while the other one is fine. If I needed to buy again, I would probably check out some other options first, though I still consider these ones good "starter" laptops.

I needed a laptop for school and this is perfect. It is easy to work with and I love how it flips! It may take a few seconds to start up and flip(don't worry it's not broken it just takes a bit). I can use Word and surf the net easily. It came with a few games too so I am never bored. I love the layout and how easy it is to find everything and operate. I would most definitely recommend it to a friend and would consider buying another in the future.

Excellent . Perfect for my requirements. Long battery life, not light weight but not excessively heavy. Did not want touch screen but did want dvd slot. Enough memory for windows 10 and other programs. This was really a "best buy".

Although sometimes its a little slow, and randomly loses WiFi connection, for the most part, its a great laptop for the price. May not handle the latest/greatest games, but WoW runs just fine.

Good price for the characteristics. Is not as fastest as I would like but it's ok.

This is a computer that I got for my business. It occasionally drops the wifi signal but overall it is pretty good for a great price. Using it right now to type this great review.

I got this Asus on sale for $200, and it was a great price to pay for what I got. This laptop is primarily a media consumption device. It's GREAT for music lovers, as it has some of the best internal speakers I have heard from a laptop. They are stereo and not mono like a lot of laptop speakers. I will say this isn't what you should buy if you plan on doing a lot of multitasking. The look of it is also a big plus. It's plastic but looks like brushed metal, and is super light weight and stays cool even with heavy use!

For the price you pay this is a very decent computer. It is very capable of performing basic tasks like office, internet. I will recommend this to the folks that are bound by budget.

Bought this computer to access Amazon Prime movies and tv shows and show them on my flat screen television. It is fast and efficient in doing this through wifi and very inexpensive.

Overall good buy... Got this for our parents who didn't need any bells and whistles, just something to surf the net and do some emails. Nothing fancy, just reliable and affordable.
