I searched long and hard for the best 4K gaming monitor for my new Xbox One X and at the end.. I am happy I got this one. It doesn't have HDR but guess what.. it actually looks better than another HDR/4K monitor that I tested while playing Assassin's Creed Origins on the Xbox One X. The colors on the ASUS VP28UQG are very vibrant and alive and actually looked better than the HDR monitor on any HDR setting (restarted the game to ensure the HDR was active). And for first person shooters such as Halo 5... amazing. And beautiful. I used to play on a 22" Asus monitor and had no problems switching to this 28" Asus. The 1ms response time at 4K and 60Hz with the incredible 100 million to 1 contrast ratio made my Halo experience completely amazing. I was in awe of the total change in graphics and colors compared with my previous 22" Asus 1080P monitor. I was immersed in a whole new world. No blur at all and was able to turn, shoot and play Halo at full speed and in total control. I have yet to see a 4K monitor with HDR beat this monitor. And for your eye health, this monitor provides 4 levels of blue light reduction up to 70% and is flicker-free. So you can game on for hours without worrying about hurting your eyes. And to conclude, you control the settings on the monitor with a joystick on the back which is quite different than normal but quickly becomes intuitive with little practice. All in all.. awesome 4K gaming monitor. ;)

Got this monitor for my Xbox 1 x and it was awful, the audio would't go high enough tried 2 different speakers but worst of all it just wasn't good for gaming there was bad tearing and distorted picture on camera pans while in the games. Got the LG 27UK600 after returning this monitor and it's been perfect but it's 150$ more.

It's a beautiful 4k 28" monitor as specified. You cannot adjust the height, however you can adjust viewing angle and tilt of the monitor. Contrary to what some of the "Questions Asked" say, it does NOT have speakers on it. What it does have, is a single 4 directional knob (think directional pad on a controller) that lets you adjust input and brightness. For ports, it includes 2 HDMI ports, a display port, and an audio out port. It has an auto sleep function where if a signal is lost, it'll go into rest mode or switch into whatever input is currently sending a signal in. The speakers i use for my pc sound completely fine, but when plugged into the audio out port of the monitor, have a sort of weird low frequency hum that emits from them. I might have to try with higher quality speakers, but the hum is persistent when plugged into the monitor. When plugging in the cable for the display port, you're going to have to use some muscle and make sure it goes ALL the way in (can be a little tough or hard to notice) on both ends of the pc and monitor. If not for the lack of speakers and how the audio out handles my current speaker set up, I would give it 5 stars. The multi video input is great since I plan to use this shared across a pc and 2 game consoles.

Just got it today still fiddling with with view settings but overall a great monitor for gaming especially on the Xbox one X. Looks great for x enhances titles. This is a freesync monitor but isn't compatible with freesync on xbox ATM Xbox one x is free sync 2 compatible which is HDMI 2.1 and there isn't anything with 2.1 out yet I do hope Microsoft does a patch to let hdmi 2.0 (free sync) 1 work on these monitors even though it won't do much at 60hz 60 FPS but overall a good looking monitor some people think it has IPS panel because it looks so good but it is a TN panel which lets you play at 1 millisecond so it has good response timing with nice looking color.

Takes around 45 seconds for it to wake up from sleep mode which is unacceptable.

Ive had this monitor now for a little over a year, and it’s worked great - no issues. I use it for both gaming (ps5) and productivity (2nd monitor fo work). Picture and color quality is amazing, and very responsive for gaming. Dont think there is a better 4k monitor on the market, with a 1 sec response time. Theres always going to be a debate about the refresh speed (60hz) and wether (144hz) is better for shooters, however i primarily play COD Warzone and feel that the monitor is very responsive and produces great quality images. Very satisfied with the performance, would recommend this to anyone for gaming and productivity.

Purchased this monitor to use with my laptop. Hands down the best display at this price point. Very satisfied.

Received the monitor today connected to the pc and the sound doesn’t work or come out the monitor only plays through Bluetooth!!! Problem for anyone else or the monitor has no built in speaker??

Works great! I can’t say why Best Buy demands a longer review than that, but I’ll say it again…works great! There I said it.

Purchased this monitor to replace the bad experience i had with the last one and this monitor is FANTASTIC! Especially for the xbox one X.

I was really excited to get this monitor and set it up as soon as it came to my house. Now that I have it, I feel miserable to play video games. The 4k looks awful and I can’t tell a difference from 1440p and 1080p. The screen is fuzzy and it flickers constantly. Yes the response time is amazing and games stay 60 frames while I play, but gosh I’m so irritated by the fuzziness.

These things are so static sensitive that I have to reset them several times a day. They also do not wake up if you put them to sleep so I have had to go back to the old school screen saver screens instead and set them to never shut off or I will end up having to power cycle them dozens of times a day. I do nothing that they engineered these things properly at all. Do they understand what the word "grounding" means? I had LG monitors before these and I think that I am going to toss two of these ($500) and just go buy some LGs just so I can stop messing with these things. The 4K resolution is dumb too. It makes everything so small on the screen that you can't make anything out anyway so I have them set to 1920x1080 anyway. Never buying ASUS monitors again.
