Great inexpensive router

This product supports both 2.4Ghz and 5Ghz bands. The 2.4Ghz band in my neighborhood has been getting crowded and I've noticed speed issues with my wireless. When my laptop is connected to the 5Ghz band I have much better performance.

I have a nighthawk in my house and my nighthawk gets about three times the speed of this one. The ASUS does its job, just don’t expect it to have blazing speeds for gaming.

It's regrettable to hear you've encountered issues with the internet speed very slow. This must be frustrating, usually the speed is mostly controlled by the ISP.
For Example: If your ISP provides you a speed of 100Mps and our router (specification) indicates that the speed can go up to 500Mps. It will only cap at 100Mbps because of your ISP. If you upgrade your ISP package to 500Mps then you will be able to achieve the full capability of the router. If that is not the case, please ensure to keep your router firmware up to date and also the LAN driver on your computer.
If you wish to troubleshoot further, please use the Asus Router App, go to "Settings" > "System Settings" > "Feedback" > and send a Feedback mail to us.
