    I purchased this computer to replace a ten year old VAIO. After extensive research and procrastinating I finally broke down and spent the money. I wish I would have saved and done more searching. This new computer is like stepping back to the Windows 95 I had 25 years ago. Totally unhappy with my purchase. The ten year old VAIO was a little slow, but did what it was asked to do. Absolute buyers remorse.

      Dear Robin,

      The speed or performance issue is temporary during the initial WINDOWS 10 setup and before installing cumulative WINDOWS Update, regardless what brand name of computer this may be.

      This may take a longer time depending on the network traffic from the update server and the stability of your high-speed internet service. Several system reboot, black screen temporarily or restart during the update process may be experienced.

      Once initial setup and WINDOWS Update installation completed, system speed or performance will be optimized, as expected. To maintain optimum system stability and performance, cumulative WINDOWS Update needs to be installed periodically.

      If you are accessing web applications, please make sure the unit has access to an established router and internet service is working properly since this will definitely affect system speed and performance. Also, clearing internet cache or browsing history will improve system performance.

    Terrible 15 day return policy

    Christmas gifts are purchased in advance for the holiday. Your store offers a short 15 day policy which is very unfair. I want a store credit for a gift return and it was denied. I will never shop at Best Buy nor will I recommend it

    Completely shut down barely out of warranty

    Used the product everyday for over a year, then one day shut down in the middle of use and would not power back on. I paid to send it to Asus to take a look and got a quote back for fixing for ~$700. Unbelievable.

    The BEST All-In-One For The Money!

    The matte screen, dedicated video card, 8th gen processor, and perhaps most important of all....an SSD hard-drive! You will NOT find a better value on the market today. This PC also comes without any bloatware and start up times are less than 10 seconds!

    Stopped working after 2 months of normal use. Returned it to Best Buy and they were kind enough to honor an exchange for another PC or equal or lesser value even after the return period.

    Purchased this computer as a work computer and it consistently gave us a solid blue screen. It ended up dying after 9 months. I own several computers and have never had an issues with my other.

    ASUS All in One Defective Screen

    After less than 3 weeks of purchasing the ASUS ZN242GD the screen start blurring and could not use the monitor and had to reboot it every hour to clear and finally went bad.

      I certainly understand your disappointment and the inconvenience this may have caused you. All ASUS products undergo intensive quality control testing and inspections, this is a random problem. To resolve the issue, please try to install all cumulative WINDOWS Update if the OS is not current and update the video driver if the unit is running with an older version. If these were performed to no avail, I recommend that you send the unit in for service. Normally, ASUS provides one year warranty coverage, if product was purchased brand-new, in order to fix or repair any hardware or, part that stop working prematurely under normal usage.       Thank you for writing a comment for the product. I do understand your disappointment and the ihnconvenience if the system will not power on or boot up. Usually, you will do the following to resolve the issue. Try to do a power cycle a couple of times. Shut it down completely, wait for at least 10 seconds then power on. Please wait, if the system is applying updates in the System Registry, it will black screen temporarily. If it still black screen after a few minutes, at least 10 minutes, please repeat the power cycle process again. Please verify if the AC adapter was properly connected from unit to a working surge protector or AC outlet and the power button is being pressed all the way down to trigger a power on signal. Also, please try to disconnect the power cable and let the unit drain for 24 hours to clear the memory and reset the hardware to default settings. After doing this, please reconnect your AC adapter then power on the unit. If you need further assistance, please email me at [email protected] and I will be more than happy to help.

    Wow! This is some beautiful computer! The screen is gorgeous, it is super fast and very, very quiet compared to a similar one I have from HP! You can't beat this one to that one! Got this from Best Buy recently on sale and I am very happy with it! Get one guys, you won't be disappointed! Trust me on this one!!

    I purchased this computer after reading all the reviews and I must say this is one beautiful machine. Installation is incredibly easy, just install the power and have at it. The boot up is extremely fast, especially when you turn off non-essential programs etc. It literally boots up between 10-15 seconds. The 24" screen is vibrant and clear. This was a huge upgrade from our 10+ year old computer that we replaced. It is extremely fast whether using internet or local files. Music and video load extremely fast and make for an enjoyable experience. The speakers are adequate, but if you want something more, the unit will sync up with any Bluetooth speaker. When under heavy load you will hear the fan kick in and run, but it is for a short period of time. Otherwise it's very quiet. So far we are very pleased with this purchase.

    I purchased this system on Aug 25th, 2018. Immediately after setting up the AIO PC, I noticed that the fan was extremely loud. I thought maybe it was because the system was just under a heavy load after the setup and install of software. The loudness of the fan continued to get worse to the point where the fan sounded like it was running at a 100% all the time. After waking up from being in Sleep mode, the fan was even louder and would make an extremely loud vibrating noise like the bearings were going out. I spoke with ASUS Tech support, they recommended returning the unit and exchanging it. So I did. Got the replacement unit on Sept 27, 2018. Same exact issue...Only this time, I was having issues with the screen. The screen would randomly blackout out and return all distorted in what appeared to be a grid-like pattern. Multiple restarts would not remedy the problem. Finally I just shut down the PC for about 20 minutes and returned and the screen came back to normal. So one of two things, its either a defective screen or possibly it is overheating which it should not be doing as it sits in an room with temps constantly at 70°F. Since its an All-in-one it stays on top of the desk. I do not do any graphics design or gaming...just regular business things such as spreadsheet, pdfs, web browsing, etc. So if it's overheating, then it is poorly designed. So, I contacted technical support again at ASUS. They asked me some questions and I told them what all I had done to troubleshoot up to that point and they determined that I needed to send it to them for repair AT MY EXPENSE. I understand issues happen and sometimes you get a bad batch of products, but to make the customer be responsible for that, in my opinion, is ridiculous. Dell would have covered everything on one of their products. So I guess from now on, I won't be purchasing anymore ASUS products if they can't stand behind them.

    Bought this model only 2 months ago. Setup was easy and PC seems fast. Less than 2 months later, the wireless keyboard and mouse stop working. My wife called ASUS customer service and they basically told us that these are "accessories" and are not covered by any warranty. At least that's what she believes he told her because his English was horrible! And all the information she gave him at the onset of the call had to be reiterated again because it wasn't given in the proper order of his script. He did however recommend we take those "accessories" back to the place we purchased them. Mind you they shipped WITH THE PC. So we drove back to BB to talk to someone and he said he would have steered me away from ASUS to begin with. He stated he purchased an ASUS laptop that in 6 months was a total brick and that ASUS customer service was terrible and terrible to deal with. You may want to think twice when considering ASUS. I would have thought that a company that manufactures PC components would be able to make a good pc but....

    I just purchased the Asus all-in-one computer Best Buy and Asus as never let me down in the past I hope they don't this time I need this for school and video editing so I needed to work good of course I bought the open box trying to save some money so far everything I bought from Best Buy has been perfect I hope this continue

    Worst Computer I've ever had

    I bought this computer on August 2018. To be honest, I had high expectations coming from a company like Asus, however, the computer turned out to be a piece of junk. After the first two months of my purchase, I had to take it to Best Buy to get it checked it out because the screen would black out. The guys at geek squad told me it was possible at bad mother board and they had to send it out for repair. However, they replaced it for me so I did not have to wait so long. They gave me a brand new Asus Zen AiO, just to start having the same issue after two months (December 2018). Again, I took it to Best Buy and they send it out for repair and made me wait for 3 weeks. Once I got it back, these people did not even test it and just handed it to me. For me surprise, I get home and plug in the computer, it was not even working. I took it back to them right away and asked them if this was a joke, and instead of apologizing, they blamed me saying that it was perfectly working before I got it, (I'm assuming they were thinking I did something to it, even though I took me less than 30 minutes to go home and realize it was not working). The guy did not even try it and was saying that it was working. Again, he sent it out for repair and now he made me wait a whole month plus couple of weeks. I asked him why did it take them so long and he did not have a response, even though they sent it out for the exact same issue as the first one. Now that I received it, the computer still has issues, since it does not want to come out sleep mode and I had to do a hard reset everytime. Overall, I think this a overpriced computer that does not have a lot to offer and that will most likely give you a lot of issues and headaches. If I were anyone else, I'd be beware and not buying any of the junk asus products, especially this computer. For such a expensive computer, I was expecting an outstanding performance, not a computer that I can barely use because it's failing all the time.
