Matte screen and dedicated video make this a really great AIO. Unfortunately the video is only an Nvidia 1050, but that's about the best you can get in an AIO. I hate glossy screens, so this screen is very nice.

All ASUS products are in compliance to industry's quality standards. Each products undergo intensive quality control testing and inspections.
The audio quality is decent, the unit comes with two bass-reflex stereo speakers that delivers an incredibly rich and cyrstal clear sound. Please try to update the audio driver if the unit system is running with an older version. The file is available for download at the ASUS website.
It is normal for the hardrive to generate sound if it's spinning while being accessed.
Regarding the cooling system's fan generates noise louder, this is normal while the computer is under heavy load especially during the initial WINDOWS setup and WINDOWS Update installation. When system resource utilization is high, this will generate more heat than normal and tends to trigger the fan to spin at full-throttle and noise will be louder than normal. It does decreases or normalizes once utilization goes down.

She loved it the first day, but crashed it on the second playing the Sims and rendering a video. It looks fantastic and had a great form factor with everything it can do, but we ended up returning it to get something with more power.

It has Windows 10, quite a change from Windows 7, so that will be my greatest challenge. It doesn't come with a built-in disk player as my old one did,so had to purchase a portable DVD Writer. It has all the bells & whistles otherwise which will take me a while to master.
