This is my first time owning a Windows laptop after owning Apple for a lifetime. I like it; however, I've noticed that it overheats whenever I open an app or start charging, and sometimes I get nervous that it will explode or something. I only bought it for video games and tech-related stuff. Its a bummer that they don't have apps for writing.

My son has used this laptop for close a year. It checks all the boxes. The speed is great and the quality of the video is exceptional

I bought this laptop for work. It syncs up nicely with my home PC. Very fast and very few issues so far. Haven't had to use it for anything super demanding yet but it excels in every day tasks.

Got this laptop as an upgrade to run windows 11 and do office work on the go. It does this job well. The laptop is thin light and extremely easy on the battery. The USB charging means i can change it using a 65 watt usb charger. The oledxscreen makecgood for watching video as well.

Coil whine is an audible noise or buzzing sound that can come from electronic components like inductors, transformers, and capacitors when electrical current flows through them. My Zenbook is having coil whine near the CPU whenever it is processing something, like moving the mouse cursor or opening a program. It is much louder when the device is charging, and it is loudest when the device is sitting on a flat surface like a table or desk. There are some steps that can help reduce the noise. In the old control panel there is a screen called Power Options. Create a power plan and once you have done this, change plan settings. Change advanced power settings and set processor power management -> maximum processor state to 99%. Use the new power plan most of the time. When you want to edit videos or play a game, switch back to the default power plan which is called Balanced. If you use Linux, there are some programs that can also limit the power of the CPU so it doesn't get to use its full power. Regardless, when the device is under full load the fan will usually drown out the noise of the coil whine. Onto Linux, I am pleased to report that everything seems to work properly under Manjaro KDE with a little bit of fiddling. I tend to have the best luck with bleeding edge distros on brand new chipsets. I really like the laptop but there shouldn't be this much coil whine. I never had a laptop with this much. I'm very tempted to return it.

Replaced my 15" Asus Windows 10 laptop that I have had for more than 5 years. Based on the longevity of that unit I went with Asus again. Wanted to go smaller and lighter this time and after a month of use there have been no disappointments. The display is not quite as sharp as my 15" 4k display but I do most of my work connected to a docking station and dual monitors. The SSD is plenty large and for my everyday tasks the unit handles complex spreadsheets without delay. My only comment in the "room for improvement" column would be that it has only 1 USB-A port but that is easily overcome with a USB breakout box. Picked this up at BB for a great price on sale - and would highly recommend.

Inventory and options are plenty at Best Buy. Helped us to compare the products and find a suitable product. Staff at the store are friendly and provided extra mile support. This Asus laptop is extremely good and performance is super.
