Don’t buy this!!!

The store tells me it costs $80 just to send it in to see what’s wrong and that they don’t fix it there.

Broke after two weeks and warranty isn't honored

It's clearly a hardware issue, and it came like this when I bought it. It was open box at Best Buy, and they assured me the warranty would still be valid. However, they told me to go to Asus for repair, and Asus tells me to go to Best Buy. It's an endless loop with no way out.

Horrible product

Now its running slow, taking twenty minutes to boot up. I have to restart it several times and each time is taking five minutes. I wish i had purchased extended coverage agreement, but i didn't think I would need it since I only use it for school work. I would not recommend this product at all.

Sleek, Powerful, and Ultraportable
|Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Sleek, ultraportable, spectacular, loaded. These are just a few words to describe the Asus Q425M. This laptop is as good as any mid-level laptop out there. At least it’s priced like one. With all of the features I would expect this to be as expensive as the top tier brands. I’ve been using it for a couple of weeks now as my main laptop and I’m impressed. I’ve been throwing multiple tabs being open while running excel spreadsheets and word documents. I’ve had camera streams running simultaneously while watching something on YouTube. It can handle a lot to say it’s a smaller laptop. For me, 14 inches is a sweet spot. 13 inches is too small and 15-16 is too big. Carrying this laptop is a breeze because of how light it and slim it is. That is one of the first things I noticed so no complaints in that department. Also, it does not leave fingerprints all over. I can barely see any and I’ve been using it everyday. Battery life has been excellent so far. I can tell, as with any computer, that when I have the display brightness setting high, the battery life decreases. It’s such a beautiful screen when the brightness is high because of the OLED screen. Especially watching videos. I ended up just changing the power settings for the screen brightness to be at full level when it is plugged in. 1 TB of storage included along with 16GB of ram should be enough for home use. I’m not sure what level of Intel processor an ultra 7 is but like I said earlier this thing is a beast. There’s two USB-C thunderbolt ports for charging and inputs. They are both on the right side. I would have like one on each side but this still works for me. There’s a usb-a port on the left side as well. This thing is so slim I wonder how they made this work. There’s also an hdmi port and headphone jack on the right side. The front facing camera is surprisingly clear. A lot of manufacturers like to minimize the quality of this camera to make other components better but I feel like they did a great job. Not grainy at all. I attended a couple of Zoom meetings and everything was perfect. I know this may not be as popular as the other top brands but it will deliver the same quality and a lesser price. You will not be disappointed!

No Audio. After Repair, Same Issue

Laptop was returned to Asus for repair. They said they replaced the motherboard and repaired laptop had the same problem less than 24hrs after it was returned. Very frustrating. Disappointed with purchase.

Faulty Battery, Repairs do not help

Was a nice laptop for school when it worked, but at this price point with the amount of issues it faces, I would heavily recommend staying away. Laptop no longer works when not connected to power, completely defeating the purpose of the laptop.

Died after 2 months

No power / no lights/ no nothing. Spoke to Asus and the best they would do is take it back for review and repair. They said that would take about 2 weeks. I was disappointed that they didn't offer to replace and not impressed with their willingness to stand behind their product. Last Asus for me.

Asus Zenbook - Fast, Lightweight, Fun, Touch PC
|Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.This Asus Zenbook 14" will get a lot of use from me, as it is high quality, lightweight (portable), and fast. I'm normally a MacBook user (because of IOS Development needs) but for everyday computing and Android development, this machine seems much nicer, especially with the touch display which can open to 180 degrees (flat). The keyboard feels natural to me, I'm having zero difficulty adjusting to it and seem to be typing fast out of the box (I can hear the keystrokes, it's nice having audio feedback). I *love* that the keyboard by default gives me function keys that work like function keys (my other PC requires me to press Fn to use a Function key, which is F1-F12). The "FHD" display on this Asus Zenbook seems to get better than the 1920x1080 resolution usually associated with the term FHD, I'm seeing a default resolution of 1920x1200 which does significantly improve the image quality. To be honest, I cannot tell the difference between this display and the WQHD display on my desktop PC in terms of things like smooth fonts. The memory and storage meet my needs, as I will not use a computer with less than 16GB memory [as a developer, who uses virtual machines, I tend to use a good amount of memory], and the 1TB of storage is plenty of space for how I intend to use this Zenbook. The laptop came with a free month of Xbox Game Pass Ultimate which I took advantage of (this allows you to stream games, no need to download and install them). There were initial issues synchronizing my Xbox account, but that amounted to waiting for some updates to come in before it would sign in properly. I started on a new to me 'adventure' type game, the Dolby Atmos sound on the laptop was terrific (high quality) during the game, and the Xbox controller paired over Bluetooth easily. WiFi 6E speeds are great, I was getting the full 300+Mbps that our ISP currently is giving us when measured (we may be upgrading our ISP speeds soon). Yes, for a PC Laptop, I love this one, and it's a high-quality brand name (I've purchased other computers and system boards from them for decades, separately from this one).

However, they could not fix it. They told me to send it to ASUS. I will be without laptop for couple of weeks. More recently the video card failed. It is just out of warranty!

Another winner from ASUS, with minor web glitches

I have a desktop computer with a 10-year-old ASUS motherboard, and it still runs great. Four years ago I began using a 15.6” ASUS ZenBook Flip 15 laptop that performed very well, but I decided that it was too heavy to carry around and was much better suited to treating it like a desktop computer. So, I replaced it with this ASUS - Zenbook 14 OLED 14” WUXGA Touch Laptop, and I am not at all disappointed. It is sturdy and solid, just like the 15.6" ZenBook, but much lighter. It is sleek-looking, has a beautiful display, and great computing power with an Intel Ultra 7 155H processor. I do not normally work with my laptops on my lap, but I like to try out new laptops this way just to see how warm they get. After an hour in my lap, this Zenbook was barely warm at all, so you could use it comfortably this way if you like. Unlike my previous ZenBook, this is not a flip model, so you cannot use it like a tablet. But guess what? Using laptops like tablets does not make much sense anyway because they are so large. If you want a tablet, buy a tablet. Windows 11 setup was a breeze, for which I suppose Microsoft should get the main credit, although the integration with the ASUS laptop was excellent. I like the way the setup software congratulated me on connecting to my new wireless 6 network, explaining its advantages. Thanks to having backed up my previous laptop to OneDrive, I was able to reinstall apps on the new Zenbook during setup. The only trouble I had with setup was registering the new laptop with ASUS. For some reason, it did not recognize my existing account and password, so I finally set up a new account through Google that allowed me to register the product. Of course the new account did not show previous ASUS products I had registered. Furthermore, the ASUS website recognized my old email id and sent a link to reset my password, but it failed. To boot, the next time I tried to login to my account on the web with my Google id, I was denied. The local MyASUS app worked fine, so I guess I will have to use it until ASUS fixes its website. This is not a big deal; I am just curious about the impenetrability of the ASUS website. I don't want to end on a negative note in this review, so I will emphasize again what a solid, beautiful laptop this is. I have owned laptops from many of the major producers, including SONY, Toshiba, Dell, Microsoft, and HP, and this laptop is as good as or better than products from all of these companies. I can recommend it without reservation.

Outstanding Ultrabook Style Laptop

I was interested in a less clunky laptop for travel, and I am generally an ASUS fan as my main, hefty, high powered gaming laptop is from ASUS and I love it. From a processor standpoint, this slim ultrabook style laptop really has the power. The i7 and 16GB of RAM really pack a punch, especially when paired with the OLED screen for a great picture. The graphics power of the unit will keep you from playing a lot of high end games on intense settings however. As an alternative, if you are a Game Pass subscriber, any game using the cloud gaming feature runs great. This has been my go to for travelling, productivity, and streaming since it arrived. I am also generally not a touch screen user, but I find myself coming around a bit with this laptop. It's very responsive, and sometimes a simple tap is faster than using the trackpad would be. The battery life is also quite amazing given the power of the processor and ram. I was able to get a pretty consistent 10+ hours of use as long as I wasn't to rigorous with the streaming and gaming. For the relatively low cost on this ultrabook, I believe it is absolutely worth it.

Cannot Upgrade Ram !!!!!!
