The Zenbook 14” OLED is a nice media device that can do lite office work when you need to. I do love OLED displays. They are especially nice for watching videos and looking at pictures. They also are very fast. OLED displays have hit the market this year in a big way but ASUS has made them available for a while now in their laptops. ASUS is a computer company that leads the industry with their innovative products. With a great display, long battery life and one of Intel's newest Core Ultra 5 Processors. One of its most efficient CPUs ever makes for great fun. The chassis feels good with almost no flex. The touch pad is smooth and responsive and just maybe on the bigger side. The keyboard is backlit but not too bright. This is labeled as an Intel Evo laptop. Along with that you get one 1x USB 3.2 Gen 1 Type-A port, 2 USB Thunderbolt 4 ports with support for display output and power delivery, a full size HDMI 2.1 port. We also get WIFI 6E and Bluetooth 5.3. You should be able to connect pretty much any device you may need to this notebook. And throw in some fast USB charging for when you need it and why not some pretty good audio too and let's keep the weight down at 2.82 lbs. This model of Zenbook laptop only comes with 8GB of memory. Windows 11 probably does a better job managing memory than any version of windows. The online specifications confirm the memory is not upgradeable. Unless you need lots of browser tabs open or are doing more serious work I don’t think this memory limitation should be a problem. If you need more ram look at a different model. There is much to like here and it is not just a great display.

This Asus Zenbook touch screen laptop is perfect for me to use on the go to keep in touch and work when I am out and about. Thankfully there weren't too many updates for windows when I was setting up the Asus Zenbook, which can be frustrating when you just want to get going with a new computer.
The touch screen display is beautiful and responsive, looking at photos and watching videos is quite enjoyable. There are quick keys to brighten or dim the display depending on the ambient lighting around you which I find really helpful.
The backlighting on the keyboard helps when using the computer in a dimly lit room. It goes out after a few moments which is great if you're watching a TV show or movie, but quickly comes back on when you touch the keys. The Dolby Atmos speakers sound adequate when watching movies or tv, however I prefer to use my own headphones, so I don't annoy those around me.
The USB-C charger cable has a decent length when plugged in, although I would like to see the prongs on the power brick close down into the power brick to protect the prongs when packed into a bag. The computer does get a bit warm when charging, which is not uncommon for slim SSD hard drive computers. I found that it cooled down quickly when the charge reached 95%.
I primarily use this Asus Zenbook for work, emails, Zoom meetings, video watching, and light photo editing. The Intel i5 keeps up with my needs and uses, I'm quite happy to use it on a daily basis.
The Asus Zenbook is no slouch and will get the job done for you, it's light weight and fun to use!

A couple years ago I helped my dad get a Vivobook with an OLED display. Fast forward to now where I needed to get my wife a new laptop and this Zenbook with OLED display really turned my head.
I've been keeping my wife's laptop alive with battery replacements. After a little while, the battery started to expand and would split the seam to the point where the trackpad wasn't responding quite right. We really liked the laptop and found replacement batteries for a decent price. The bad part was that the battery would be recognized as non-original and we would have to acknowledge it every time we booted up. After replacing it again recently, I started looking for a whole new laptop.
We were looking for something with a Core 5 Ultra or Core i5 processor, EVO designation for better battery life, OLED display and touchscreen. This Asus Zenbook 14 OLED really fit the bill.
I really hadn't been following the Core 5 Ultra vs Core i5 transition, but my quick searches tell me it's a nudge forward in power efficiency and integrated graphics performance. I don't need some gaming machine because she's mostly working on email, browsing, as well as some basic programming for elementary robotics.
In the box, there isn't much to find, the laptop itself and a charger. The charger itself is 65 watt charger with a square brick and a fixed cord that is about 6 feet long and outputs to USB-C. The only knock here is that the prongs don't fold flat into the brick, they are fixed.
The laptop itself is pretty lightweight at under 3 lbs. One side has a 5Gbps USB-A port. The other side has two USB-C ports rated for Thunderbolt 4, an HDMI port and a headphone jack. I find it very portable and I feel like the case itself is aluminum or magnesium. Definitely not plastic.
Booting up the first time, was pretty quick. This system has 8 GB of RAM and a 512 GB NVMe drive. Unfortunately, the RAM is soldered and is not upgradeable. The storage however, can be swapped. Not long after the first boot, I was quite impressed with the display. It's a 1920 x 1200 display, but it's OLED and rated for 500 nits. I find the display is pleasantly bright and I don't think I'll have any problems with brightness even if it's in sunlight. The display is beautiful. Colors really pop and I feel like they are more accurate than traditional display technology.
In my brief testing, the EVO designation lives up to the hype. The battery seems to charge quickly and getting all day performance seems very achievable.
Performance of this processor has been great. I've thrown a lot of browser windows, productivity applications at it and it hasn't shown any slowdown. This is an office type of computer. It's not like my wife is going to run Virtual Machines or play AAA games. So anything over a Core 5 Ultra or Core i5 is going to be overkill.
I had hoped that the memory would be upgradeable, but 8 GB should be enough. Having the capability to upgrade the storage is very helpful and I feel like I will end up upgrading that pretty soon. Overall, this ASUS Zenbook 14 OLED provides a satisfying computer experience.

Sleek and sexy ultra-portable from ASUS!

The ASUS - Zenbook 14 OLED 14” WUXGA Touch Laptop, Intel Core Ultra 5 - Intel Evo Edition - 8GB Memory - 512GB SSD - Jasper Gray is a beautifully crafted ultra-portable laptop that's easy on the budget. This ultra-portable will handle everyday computing tasks with ease and also handle some light 3D gaming with the integrated graphics.
The laptop is super light but feels very solid and has a premium feel to it. The monitor hinge is nice and smooth when opening and stays put quite well once opened. The keyboard has a nice feel to it and is easy to type on. Love the backlit keys! The trackpad is ample size and very responsive. Has a nice smooth feel to it.
Setup was very easy with the standard Windows 11 setup process. I had it up and running and fully patched within 20 minutes. The CPU is really fast and responsive. The 8 GB of RAM handles everyday tasks quite well! Although not a gaming laptop by any means, the integrated graphics do handle some lighter 3D gaming quite well. AAA title will definitely struggle and from what I could tell it's more of a memory issue than raw 3D computing power. The integrated graphics actually had some decent framerates but struggled when loading new scenes into memory in games like Fortnite for instance. Older 3D titles actually were pretty playable after tweaking the game settings. Borderlands 2 played decent with about 45 fps average and Tomb Raider played decent as well. 2D gaming titles will run great on this laptop.
Battery life is excellent! Watching video full screen with medium screen brightness uses about 5% battery per hour in my tests. The sound on this ultra-portable is superb and really blew me away for such a small device. It actually has some thump to it and is better than a lot of laptops I've used in the past!
The 14 inch OLED screen is beautiful and crisp. The touchscreen is nice and responsive and comes in handy. The screen is reflective so you'll get some bright light reflection, but the screen has a good range of brightness to handle this when needed. The built-in camera makes logging into your laptop a breeze! Just sit down and the facial recognition logs you in without having to do anything. Works quite well! The camera has a nice sliding lens cover which I almost missed. Nice touch when you want to make sure your camera is off! Much appreciated feature than a lot of laptops don't bother to include.
The included charger is small and will fit inside a bag easily without adding much weight. USB-C charging port. The laptop has a decent amount of ports for a small device. Full size HDMI is nice along with a 3.5 mm audio jack if you have a wired headset. A full size USB and an extra USB-C port also.
The underside has plenty of venting and some nice rubberized feet for airflow elevation and slip resistance.
Overall this is a budget ultra-portable that doesn't feel budget and would make a great addition to anyone's travel bag or desk for everyday computing tasks and some light gaming!

The Asus Zenbook 14 OLED is a very nice laptop computer. I consider it a “small” laptop based on its 14-inch (diagonal) screen size. My workhorse laptop has been what I categorize as a “large” laptop based on its 17-inch screen. I take my laptop with me whenever I travel, and I’m looking forward to using a computer that fits better on airline seat fold-down trays among other situations.
Setup was fast and simple as it usually is with new computers these days. You are led through a series of setup activities with many explanations that you can read or skip as you go. You’ll likely need or want to set up a Microsoft account, and ultimately you end up on a Windows 11 home screen. You are also given a chance to created an account with Asus for receiving updates and so forth.
Even though the computer is now ready to go, and this process takes only about 10 or 15 minutes, the FIRST thing I do with any new computer is head to the Setting/Windows Update section and check for updates. Even though it initially says “you’re up to date,” I click on “check for updates,” anyway, and I’m rarely disappointed. The system rapidly identified no less than 41 updates of all types ranging from device drivers to feature enhancements to security upgrades. Installing all of this took perhaps another 15 minutes. THEN I felt ready to go.
The keyboard is pleasant to use, and I found myself getting comfortable with it very quickly. The pressure required to activate a keystroke is neither too heavy nor too light, and I found the keys comfortably large for my large fingers with little chance of accidentally bumping an adjacent key.
The built-in camera is excellent. I do a fair number of Zoom meetings from home, and this will be very handy. The screen itself, while not large as noted earlier, is very sharp and bright and excellent for viewing.
The touchscreen works well, but I normally don't use touchscreens much because I end up constantly wanting to clean the fingerprints off of it. That's just me.
Connectivity is minimal, which has become sort of the norm on laptops these days, especially small, thin ones like this one. There is one USB-2 port (the older style with the rectangular socket and where the plug has to be oriented properly), one microphone/headphone jack, and two “Thunderbolt” ports which function both as USB-C ports (the racetrack-shaped kind that can accept the plug oriented either way) or charging ports. Either of these ports can be used to charge the laptop using the included A/C adapter/charter. The instructions say to charge it initially for at least three hours before your first time using it powered only by the battery.
As I said at the top, overall, this a very nice computer. Comfortable to use, lightweight, attractive in appearance, and with an excellent display. I expect to get much use out of it.

Powerful little laptop

I've had a Dell laptop for a few years now and it worked well enough for me. Truth be told, I didn't really need a laptop other than my home theater processor needs to use a PC to do it's room correction software called Dirac. So I pretty much just bought it for that. The Dell did it's job adequately enough and I used it for Dirac and surfing the web and checking e-mails. After a while the with comandeered the laptop to use for doing online exercises like Les Mills and the like. Well recently it developed this issue where it would turn off occasionally if you moved it. Like you're buying stuff on Amazon, you get up to walk to another room and the stupid thing would just shut off. You could simply turn it back on to reboot it but you'd lose whatever it was you'd been doing.
So I decided to get this Asus to replace the Dell. My Dell laptop was certainly larger with a bigger screen, but this little Asus still manages to get the job done. Whereas the Dell was all plastic, this Asus feels like it is made of metal. It has a nice sturdy feel to it, but still manages to be nice and light. The keys on the keyboard have a nice tactile feel to them with a satisfying click when you type. When I first booted the machine up and went through the setup the whole process was pretty smooth and took about 15 minutes from start to finish. It was able to connect to my Google accounts and even had all the icons and files from my Dell laptop on the desktop when it was finished with the initial setup. This was both good and bad for me because I liked that it had all my stuff there for me but my wife had a bunch of files on the desktop that I didn't want. When I went to delete them, it also deleted them from the Dell laptop. This was a problem because my wife still uses the Dell on just about a daily basis. But once I learned I just could disconnect the Asus from One Drive then I was able to delete my wifes files from the Asus without deleting them from the Dell.
The Asus laptop has a nice, snappy processor and is able to load webpages very quickly. If this laptop has a fan, I've never heard it. One drawback to the small size is that it only has 1 standard USB port. So if you plan to hook up a mouse, you're not going to be able to connect anything else. The laptop has 1 HDMI port and 2 of the USB C connections to use for charging and the like. The charging port is kind of weird in that it is almost in the middle of the right side. I would prefer it to be up near the top.
So all in all I would say that this is a great little laptop. I do miss having a 10-key number pad on the side but I guess that is something Asus sacrificed to keep this thing small. Battery life seems to be very good as well as I have been using it for 3 or 4 days now on a single charge and the battery is still at about 70%. I would say this thing will last you a full week on a charge with light to medium use.

This is a wonderful product at the discounted current rate and should be a best buy if one knows their requirements and the good along with the limitations of this laptop.
To keep it simple, the good of the laptop lies in its current price point and the value it offers. The design is sleek and it is very lightweight. Being at just 14 inches, it can be easily put inside most cases and tugged along all day without a sweat. The display is better than simple HD but a rung below 4K but the OLED screen makes it look simply awesome. Somehow the strain on the eye is quite contained and the color saturation is at point and quite true. I did some fiddling with my photography software and was very impressed by the color science.
It is on point with everyday use. The processor is commensurate with the expectations I had with this laptop and it does most things well. Regular multitasking is done without hiccups.
Battery life is very good and I have averaged over 10 hours between each charge doing everyday tasks and streaming videos. The charging time to a respectable capacity is fast. Streaming is absolutely fine and the Harman Kardon speakers are crisp. The touchscreen is user friendly and can be easily handled. The 512 GB SSD is spot on and there is hardly any lag.
On the other side, it has 8 GB memory which should be enough for most things but the RAM cannot be upgraded. The performance of fast programs might not be snappy enough and will drain the battery a little quicker. But then again, that is not the expectation of this laptop anyway. What I do not like is that there is no SD/Micro SD card slot.
Overall, this is a very good laptop at the current price and is highly recommended.

The ASUS - Zenbook OLED 14" WUXGA laptop has been a great addition to my already bustling desk. I have really enjoyed using this computer as my main work laptop over the last couple weeks. I swapped it out for a brand that shall not be named and I could not be happier. This system works infinitely faster than what I had before. I am able to run all the programs I need without worry of slow down. I really haven't been able to really test the battery life since it sits in my office most of the time, but when I have it has lasted much longer than my last laptop. I did have to get a Bluetooth keyboard to hook into the computer since there is only 1 HDMI port and I need it for my specialty mouse (if you know you know). The computer is VERY light weight and has a speaker that beats every other system I have used.
All in All I would highly recommend the ASUS ZenBook laptop if you are looking for a new system to use at home or work. It has worked great and functions better than expected.

OVERALL
Overall, I have nothing bad to say about this laptop. I have another Zen Book I absolutely love. This is a step down from it, but I knew that going in.
Using my analogy above, this truly is like a Swiss Army Knife. It does most things very well. Although this uses integrated graphics, which saves on power consumption, space, weight, and heat, the graphics one this screen are beautiful when watching a movie, including some 4K movies on YT. They're very sharp and vibrant. One of my favorite videos is an Ode To Joy flash mob in Spain. The picture was crisp and the sound was full and rich.
The 512GB SSD drive, although small in my estimation, is still snap-fast. The 8GB RAM is what I would consider bare minimum these days. I have 2 other laptops for various things. One has 16GB and the other has 32GB. My desktop has 32GB also.
Just because the screwdrivers on a Swiss Army Knife are small, doesn't detract from its utility. The same can be said of the SSD and RAM here. Watching movies, opening spreadsheets, creating/editing documents, or looking at pictures are all light work for this laptop.
The sound, as I mentioned above, was full and rich when playing Beethoven. Where the limitations begin to present themselves is while gaming. I loaded World of Tanks as I often do for reviews. Playing on a 14" screen was a switch from my usual monitor. The crispness of the edges helped, but everything was still much smaller than usual. Some of the mechanical and munitions sounds were slightly tinny. I played it on medium settings and didn't get much tearing, but I wouldn't trust it if I were in some heavy FPS firefights and wanted my usual Ultra settings.
Even while gaming, the laptop remained fairly cool.
So, overall, I think this is a great laptop at an affordable price. It is perfect to use for general work or for kids in high school or college.
THE BIG QUESTION
The big question is always: Would I recommend it to someone?
Absolutely. I do a lot of writing and work on the go and have no problem recommending it to anyone with similar needs or interests. the only people I would suggest steer clear are those who want to do graphic intense gaming or video-editing.

Overall, I am very impressed with the Asus Zenbook 14 OLED laptop. Between the gorgeous display, the leightweight design, peppy speed, and long battery life, this is a winning package.
Asus has the reputation of packaging together elements of a computer system that customers want at a great value. This system features Intel's 14th generation Ultra 5 processor with 8GB RAM and a 512 GB SSD. There is one USB-A port and two thunderbolt ports, plus an HDMI out and headphone jack. The Ultra processor is Intel's higher end offering, and the big difference between the 13th gen and 14th gen is not with regards to speed, but rather, for power management. These new processors, in short, use AI to determine which processors and cores tackle each task. For example, there is no need to use one of the non-efficiency cores for a low-priority or low computational task. Since the lowest power choice is used, this creates more efficient use of power and the battery life increases. And boy does it! I've used this laptop for over 8 hours with e-mail, web browsing, and other menial tasks and there was still plenty of battery left. With continual video transcoding, I got nearly 6 hours, which is amazing.
The display is nothing short of beautiful with really nice color saturation, and the speakers are crisp with good volume and range. It also has excellent brightness, with a screen that is not overly "glossy."
Video transcoding achieved about 45 fps, which is no imporovement over the 13th generation Intel chips with the integrated graphics, as expected. Note that moving up to the Ultra 7 with 16GB RAM brings Intel's ARC integrated graphics, which is a step up from the Iris graphics.
The keyboard has nice feel and it backlit, and the camera has great resolution and color. I also like the MyASUS app, as it keeps track of necessary updates and provides nice data on the performance of the laptop.
I am an avid moutain biker and find myself carrying a computer on my two wheels quite a bit. Therefore, I appreciate that (including the power supply), the weight of the complete system is about 3 pounds 5 ounces. The 14 inch size fits in my backpack easily and without bulk.
I highly recommend this laptop for a lot of reasons!
