Never seen a better laptop screen in person, though be aware that OLED and high res will impact the battery life if all else is equal. Boot-up is as fast as I could ask for, and the fingerprint reads just about every time. Only complaint is that the left shift key is very finicky. I just altered my typing to use the rightshift key instead. Note: I put linux on the system (which is not officially supported) and the speakers do not function. There are also unsurprisingly no linux drivers I could get to work for the fingerprint reader or the numpad function. If I boot back into windows everything is fine.

My new Zenbook 14

If you like shutting down after use the Asus has a slower start up than my old '17 surface, takes about nine seconds. The 14" is a nice size to travel with but you cant find a cover that fits so your grabbing a heavy slick metal laptop which is not as comfortable.

I was initially concerned after reading some of the other (incorrect) reviews that the fan might be too loud but I'm not a gamer. This is a non issue. I went to My Asus on the taskbar, set the fan to Whisper mode and it's hardly noticeable. Incredible piece of kit. The screen is so gorgeous it's crazy. If you can get this spectacular Zenbook for $550 or less (I purchased mine via Open Box/ Excellent Condition for even less), then hop on this. This one's a keeper.

Esthetics are nice, Great display screen. 8GB memory/256GB SSD storage & response time are adequate for my needs. Would have liked an additional USB-A port to use both a USB mouse & USB jump drive. But you can add an expansion hub. Good product/good buy for the price.
