I don't know if this device in particular happens to be exceptionally bad or Asus laotops are somehow disonestly overly rated laptops. We have old Lenovo laptops (using Pentium and Celeron processors) in our household that still work better than this piece of garbage. That all being said, I should add that I did purchase this particular asus zenbook on an open-box (excellent) deal, so perhaps it is for this reason that this particular laptop is so bad. I have experienced horrible typing lag issues and have tried every fix under the sun. After a couple months, the sound just died and despite trying various troubleshooting, including calling asus support, the issue was not able to be resolved. here is some driver issue which will simply not update and apparently asus support told me that it is likely an hardware issue from what I describing and would need to be sent in for paid repairs. Furthermore, interestingly, the laptop was already past its warranty since June 2023 (and I only bought it in August of this year). How is Best Buy selling new, open-box laptops past its warranty is another story. My son also happened to purchase this same laptop earlier this month (October) on an open box deal and the screen literally started coming apart in two days. Never seen anything like it. Luckily he was still under the 15 day return policy. So anyone who is reading this review can decide based on my experiences whether to be buy these brand of laptops or not and more importantly, how reliable exactly are Best Buy open-box deals! Everyone in my family is now scared to even buy a new laptop from this store after our recent experieces with this so-called higly rated brand of laptop. Absolutely appalling as no matter how used it was in 15 days, how can two laptops develop so many, major issues that cannot be fixed without professional hardware repair.

This is my fourth Asus laptop, overall a great laptop. Asus claims 18 hours battery life at lower settings. I'm lucky to get seven hours, no video's and my setting are not maxed out. A little disappointed because the battery life was a reason for purchase.

We do value our customers and take negative customer service experience very seriously. Battery tests was conducted by ASUS using the 1080p Video Playback scenario. The Test configuration includes : ZenBook UM325SA, FHD OLED panel, AMD R5-5600U, 256 GB SSD, 16 GB RAM. Test settings: WiFi enabled but disconnected (not connected to any access point), Windows Power Plan set to Balanced, display brightness set to 150 cd/m2, NumberPad off. Actual battery life may vary depending on product configuration, usage, operational conditions and power management settings. Have you tried Optimizing Windows system settings? Please follow the steps the in the FAQ below.

But took this because of the display and wanted to experience it. I will take a higher spec when i really gonna be in need of it. As of now, this serves the purpose.
