    It's a good laptop, hinge broke and snapped the screen after like 1 month of use

    Ram Memory NOT upgrade not possible due design Ram chip is embedded in motherboard and soldered Power button is flakey need to pressed more than once to turn on laptop Mouse pad numeric feature is also questionable Battery life is also no where near what it should be

    My wife and I got this openbox and were really excited. Quickly I realized that Windows wasn't activated and could not find anyway to fix it. Brought it in to GeekSquad and they were great. They spent hours on it and determined there was an issue with the motherboard. I hate to leave a review like this, but it is totally unacceptable that something with that severe of a fault made it to openbox. Was really excited for this laptop, but naturally there were no more in stock after we returned the openbox one.

    I'm really disappointed with this laptop. I purchased it less than a year ago and the sound has already stopped working due to a BIOS malfunction. It's overheating and it's taking so much time to boot. I've searched online for a solution, but it seems like there's no quick fix for this issue. And I'm not the only person with this issue. It's really frustrating to spend money on a device from ASUS that doesn't even last a year without major malfunctions. I wouldn't recommend this laptop to anyone. I live in Venezuela and it's really difficult for me to return this item or to take it to a technician to get it fixed.

      We do understand your concern about the sound stopping to work after a BIOS update, slow boot up time and the thermal issue.



      To resolve the audio problem and slow boot up time, please load default settings in the BIOS setup page and update the audio driver. Also check if Windows is up to date. By keeping Windows and drivers up to date, this will maintain optimum system stability and performance. In regards to the overheating issue, this is normal on laptop having the same hardware configuration and regardless of the manufacturer, to generate more heat than normal while under heavy load especially during WINDOWS Update and antivirus scan. When system resource utilization is high, this will generate more heat than normal and tends to trigger the fan to spin at full-throttle. Please ensure the air ventilations are free from obstructions in order to have an efficient air flow for better heat dissipation. Also, please ensure no resource hungry applications are running in the background since this will definitely spike the temperature. The heat or temperature does decreases or normalizes once system resource utilization goes down.

    First time using it wasn't working correctly, luckily my husband knows about this stuff and make it work by deleting some files that came with that were making the computer work really slowly and bad.

    6 months in doesn't want to turn on anymore.. :( It was nice for the first few months, but i did expect it to last for a year or two, maybe 4 years. Maybe it can be repaired......

    This laptop broke 4 times in one year until it was failed to be repaired!!! It spent more time in repair shop that I used it! Very poor reliability! It comes with miserable SSD volume that must be upgraded for ANY kind of usage.

    Lost all sound, troubleshooting lead nowhere. Checked online and it was a common issue. Removing and reinstalling drivers did not help. Currently reinstalling windows…

    Great computer with broken USB port

    I like everything about this computer especially at this price point. However, mine came with the USB A type port not working. Tried calling ASUS and bringing it to Geeksquad but they could not solve the problem. Will be returning it.

    Not a very good option. Camera doesnt work well and mouse touch also not working. Would you suggest to go for some other model.

    I was sent a second hand product

    I was sent a second hand product the laptop box had already been opened and the laptop sleeve that was supposed to come in the box was removed (probably by the previous owner) I would have returned it sooner but I need the laptop for a trip I was taking and I received it the day I was leaving Luckily the laptop worked fine but it was obvious it had been cleaned and wiped before being resold. Overall this should have been a 5 star review but it being second hand killed it for me

    WiFi stability issues
