    Might not be for everyone

    If you're a first-time user of ASUS beware. Although it has beautiful graphics and many attractive features, it's a really sensitive piece. Any mistake could result in a problem with the BIOS. In my case, I lost the sound and microphone because of not installing the update with my charger plugged in. That never happened with my HP. When trying to fix it, ASUS in my country told me this happens every time, people are not aware of how they should care for these devices, they are not like your common brand. So, if you are a very mindful person regarding your device, then I would definitely recommend it, if not, better not try this one.

    I love this laptop. I’m using it for school and it’s been exceptional. When it gets warm it does run the fan loudly but it’s not constant and easy to forget about it.

    I am loving this laptop. It's lightweight and sturdy. The display screen is perfect for streaming. The keyboard is great, letters big enough for a person who needs glasses, like me.

    This laptop is a small form factor, as it is only 14", so if that is what you are going for then that fits the bill. It is heavier than I would expect for a small laptop, so keep that in mind. The regular color on the screen, when doing regular computer activities (on the desktop, office work) seems lacking. I noticed it was much better when I tested a video. Back lit keyboard is nice to have for some. And I would call the calculator on the trackpad a cool feature. Unfortunately that's where the good/decent things end. This laptop loads so slow from powering on. Then, this thing wanted so many updates that I wasn't sure if I needed them. When you register and go to Asus, the number of repeat updates is confusing, and if you DO update, you will not know if you updated because it doesn't tell you. And if you go through the update and then go back to check for updates, they are still listed. What a horrible experience. The fan is so loud when it comes on and it can get very hot very quickly if you're not careful. Speaking of the fan being so loud, it is the loudest sound on this laptop because I have NO audio. No matter what I tried. I even emailed Asus. They would respond after a few days to one week. This happened approximately twice and then I never heard from them again. How unfortunate, especially when all I wanted was for them to give me a call to help me troubleshoot. If that was asking too much then so be it. This was not a good experience and not a good product.

    3 strikes...I'm out.

    Three laptops, three duds. Laptop 1 had visibly slanted logo on bottom bezel. Laptop 2 had same logo issue, plus two keys had no backlight, and trackpad visibly pushed into device and was extremely noisy. Laptop 3 exactly same as laptop 2. Floor model at local BB was perfect. Straight logo, zero play in trackpad, all keys lit up evenly I even asked to purchase floor model because otherwise the computer ran as expected given the specs. This was my first Asus PC, and sadly, unless I can locate a well built model, my last. All purchases from Ohio stores.

    BEST BUY MADE PROMISES AND NOT KEPT

    This was purchased as Open Box Excellent condition. Upon arrival at the store and picking up Laptop. I decided to Inspect the laptop. First Charger was missing. I was advised to walk to Geek Squad. They were surprised that box was missing a charger. After charger was located (generic) I had the machine booted up. At that I noticed that Mouse pad was not working. Tech stated it must be do to lack of updates. Fine, they loaded updates. 2 hours later. Laptop not holding a charge, Original charger still missing. Mouse pad dead and No sound. Only recourse is Refund. 2 managers at Evanston store could not care less that Best Buy made a Promise of Excellent Condition, however laptop was not working. Terrible Experience, and Terrible Customer Service. -5 Satisfaction.

    LOW QUALITY: Display; Audio; Keyboard backlit

    1) This laptop has the lowest quality OLED display panel! People who praise this laptop's display quality have never used Professional Monitors by Benq or Asus ($500-$1300 range) and also never even used MacBook pros so therefore they cannot compare this laptop terrible inaccurate washed out colors to professional LCD Displays. It's bright display but worse display color gamut than on my cheap Asus Zenbook (with AMD processor) matted LCD display that has 98 % SRGB color gamut. 2) Low quality audio output! Using the same wired Beats Headphones on this laptop watching mainstream newa channels on youtube, produces way more muffled/foggy sound than on my chep AMD based Asus Ryzen laptop. BAD JOB ASUS! AND PLEASE: Improve keyboard backlit on all of your laptops!

    Buyer beware

    I gave it one star because the speaker on the laptop no longer works. I bought my son the laptop in August 18 2022 for college. On September 28 2022 the speaker stopped working. I didn't buy the warranty at the store because I thought i still had time to buy it later. I made appointment for someone to look at it at Best Buy(geek squad)They wouldn't even look at it. I would have to pay $100 just to run a diagnostic. Buyer beware!!!!

    Broke after 2 months

    After 2 months of light use, the hinges broke. They became so stiff that they pushed the screen apart until it cracked and turned black. Since it was still under factory warranty, I called ASUS, but they said they do not cover that kind of damage. I don't know what the purpose of a factory warranty is if it doesn't cover a manufacturing defect.

    Failed on setup

    Bricked by a failed BIOS update the day I got it. It's a nice enough machine but the QC is terrible.
