Keyboard contrast is low

I bought this as a gift and even in low light with the backlight on full bright, the keyboard was very difficult to see the letters. There is very little contrast between the key color and the labels. The laptop seemed to be of good quality but we had to return it.

Easy to use

Appearance is sleek. It's light. The battery life seems to be as described. Keyboard backlighting is sufficient and It's easy to use, for me at least, someone who isn't too computer savvy. I haven't had any issues this far. I should also mention that I asked the tech department at my place of employment for a top 3 pick of lap tops on best buy that were under $800, good for all around use (minus gaming) and Non-Apple; this was one of them.

This unit had a backlit keyboard which was the feature that tipped me into selecting the ASUS Zenbook 14 laptop. I had been waiting for the item to go on sale and when it did, I purchased it before the sale ended. It doesn't have all the features my current laptop has, but I am hoping I can work around those challenges.

Has an incredibly vibrant display. The one thing I do not like, and it's my fault I didn't research thoroughly, is that the keyboard is not backlit all of the time. Only in low light. Overall though, I do love this laptop.

I've come to expect allot quality wise from asus. This laptop doesn't disappoint at all. Its a got good construction quality and is surprisingly light. It should be noted this model has dual graphics cards. This is a typical hybrid setup you find in some laptops where one card handles the normal day to day usage and the other gets used for the more demanding tasks. Overall the system is extremely fast though with a 6 core CPU and M.2 SSD. The M.2 SSD isn't as good as it could be, but its still more then sufficiently fast.

Its decent if you want to try out using a pc that can run some minor games like super animal royale and league but it heats up fast, wouldnt recommend gaming on it for too long unless u got that fan cooler. I personally use it for minor drawing with clipstudio paint so far so good.

I've connected to an external monitor and streamed while doing light gaming with no issues. It's very well built and does show any fingerprint smudges. If you get this laptop, change the audio equalizer settings in the pre-installed app. You'll get much better sound.
