Quite often my designs are on a DVD and I need to put the designs on a usb. I also purchased the DVD reader and writer so I am all set to get my designs transferred. I am happy at my purchase.

Owned for 1 month when reviewed.This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.the fan won't stop running with seemingly no solutions, the mousepad is very picky on where you can have your fingers and all the features on the mouse pad seem to serve no purpose but to annoy me. They tried making this seem like a gaming computer but it can run almost nothing with only 8GBs of ram. The backlight isn't bright enough to be able to read the letters unless you are directly over them. I think the only positive thing i can say that is it is light, but that might just be designed that way to make throwing it out the window easier. Everything else was subpar, not enough to return it but the fan problem occurred 45 days after purchase and i would return it but its past the time of returns. I am generally a fan of Asus computers but that will change after this purchase.

aaah!!! the keyboard is so difficult to see

However, the keyboard design with grey over silver makes it extremely difficult to see both in lighted and dark conditions. I wish the keys were printed in a bolder and darker colour. If not for the hassle with the current pandemic, I would have returned this laptop. Hope Asus will look into this design flaw -- a small flaw that spoilt an otherwise excellent product for me.

Things I didn’t like were: trying to remove my account was difficult compared to Mac, only 3 modes for backlight keyboard which is barely lit, screen brightness doesn’t go all the way black, & not being able to use my work portable hard drive I used with my MacBook. Definitely had to return & catch one of the Apple deals while it last.

I love it. I use it for school and zoom meetings all day. It it is clear and crisp. The sound is clear and I’ve had no connection issues. I’m very satisfied.
