    This is so much faster than my 2017 Lenovo IdeaPad! It loads faster. It has a decent Webcam. It has a large SSD. I am thrilled with it!

    Bought two of these for my twin boys for college August,2020. Now it is September 2021 (out of warranty) and the following occurs: The laptop has display issues, even in the bios. The display gets fuzzy/distorted, flickers, and blacks out. The issues persist even after restarting the laptop or booting into the bios. It happens whether or not the laptop power cord is plugged. There are no external devices attached to the laptop. Updating to the most recent bios (version 303) did not fix this issue. This issue happens sporadically. Sometimes the display will work normally for hours to days, but other times the display will have issues for hours. ASUS says we have to contact Best Buy for warranty service (which there is none)

    Not pleased with charging port

    bought zenbook 14 Ryzen for my 10year old son to study his coding and scripting. while the zenbook functions well, the pc charging port sucks, its has a very loose fit and does not charge unless you apply pressure to connect but at times fail. not sure if this is normal or a defect from manufacture.

    I was really excited for this laptop but sadly it's a disaster. I had four significant issues with it that forced me to return it. After looking online, I see that at least two of the issues are common. 1. When waking up from sleep, the fans turn on to max. They stay on max indefinitely as long as the computer is on, and requires a complete shutdown (not even a restart fixes it) to return to normal function. This happened literally every time the computer was in sleep mode for more than a few minutes. The most recent BIOS update and all drivers updated did nothing. This issue is common issue with this computer and not a one off. 2. Occasionally when waking from sleep, the keyboard would not work. Restart required to get it back working. Others have also had this issue. 3. When on battery power, screen would not come on. The light on the power button would turn on and off as normal, but pressing it, holding it, closing and opening the laptop did nothing. Once plugged into power, screen comes back on. This made the computer 100% unusable on battery power. 4. May have been a windows issue and not the computer, but twice windows failed to load user profile. After logging on, windows was in a default setting and no user apps for files would show. After restarting it would return to normal. Unless ASUS releases a BIOS update that specifically address and fixes the first three issues, stay away!

    Bought it for my son to do remote learning. Fan runs all the time and he cannot hear his teacher. Have to return and buy something else.

      Do understand your concern about the fan running all the time. It is normal for the fan to run while the laptop is being used and will spin at full-throttle and generates noise louder than normal under heavy load especially during the initial WINDOWS setup and WINDOWS Update installation. Also, the fan noise will be louder while antivirus software or malware are running continuously in the background. Please make sure the system was not compromised by viruses or malware by doing a full system scan using an internet security software or application.

      When system resource utilization is high, this will generate more heat than normal and tends to trigger the fan to spin at full-throttle and noise will be louder than normal. It does decreases or normalizes once utilization goes down.
