However, when trying to use certain games and software on it, it overheats extremely quick, to the point where I’m afraid of something happening to it. Overall decent laptop, except for the overheat.

First off, the fans were going on max for no reason, it had terrible backlight bleed and overall this laptop is very uncomfortable to use. It got very hot doing basic tasks, and I also ran Cinebench r20 where it got a 1980. My hp envy with the exact same ryzen 5 4500u processer got 2500.
