However, I try to get as pure a white screen as possible. Most computer manufacturers tend to force their default RGB color balance. These color profiles tend to go into a greenish, or greenish / red coloration. This makes for a poor white balance., which is not good for photography, movies etc. I have used other computers, and have been able to correct color balance - and make it "stick" even when restarting computer. Asus seems to be the worst in this regard. I have tried a number of Asus laptops - and returned them. Each one I tried, I was hoping I would have better control over the RGB profile - but no. These varied from high end gaming, to every day use. All had defaults for color profiles, that cannot be deleted, nor over written. You can go into display properties, adjust color balance, gamma, etc., and set as default. BUT, as soon as computer restarts, the Asus default is back with the greenish tint. I have found you can disable certain Asus "features" such as Asus optimization, Armory Crate, and your settings will now "stick". But then you lose other functions such as keyboard back light. Asus needs to wake up - what they perceive as proper color balance, may not be the same for all users - or displays - and the ability to correct for individual preference should be an option. Again, this may not be an issue for many users, but for those who want this color correction, it should be available. I will never again buy an Asus!!
