Can't use with dual monitors

It is not alone. I found out after being told this one could by a Best Buy associate that many can't. In my opinion, we are in the 21st Century; it should be standard to have multiple monitors inputs and capability.

I really like this computer
|Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Pros: zippy processor, great screen, responsive keyboard Cons: as the room begins to get dark, the back light on the keyboard is a little weak and hard to see. The ASUS Zen book 14 inch. Ultrabook is a very competitive product in the somewhat full market. With its Ryzen 5 processor, And 8 GB of memory programs and websites open very quickly, and with the town board graphics I wouldn’t say it’s a gaming computer, but it does allow you to play games on the go. Going in something this computer is actually very good that it is extremely lightweight and even for 14 inches of screen size it has a compact almost bezel free design. He carries a eight hour battery life for regular usage although heavy graphic and intensive programs will reduce this a little. Probably one of my favorite features of this computer is that the way that the hinge is offset.What this does is it when you open it up it actually lifts the back of the base of the computer off of the ground and adds a little tilt for the keyboard. It’s a great little engineering design did I do makes this computer easier to use! I like the keyboard for typing, but there was one fatal error. They used a silver paint on top of a silver keyboard to add the lettering. In low light settings it’s almost impossible to distinguish which key is which. They did put on the back light which is helpful in the dark, but in twilight the back light is not strong enough to stand out and the lettering on the keyboards is very difficult to see. I can honestly tell you this is my only negative thing I have to say about this computer. It was easy to set up easy to use and I’ve enjoyed using it. It’s light and easy to carry around and that’s almost no weight to my backpack. Overall this is a really capable and fun to use computer that’s great for mobile computing mobile gaming, and even streaming your favorite movies and videos in bed with its great high definition screen. If I could change one thing it would simply be to increase the back waiting for the keyboard or make the contrast between the key lettering and The keys on the keyboard a little more contrasting!

I cannot see the keys!!!

It is white lettering on a silver key. There is so little contrast between the lettering and key that it is hard to see what key is what. The back-lighting is so poor that it makes it worst in all cases unless you are in a poorly lit room. To overcome this issue I use an old desktop keyboard!!! Again, if I had seen this laptop in a store, seen the poor contrast between the lettering color and the key color, coupled with the very poor back-lighting I would never have purchased this laptop!!!

ASUS Q407IQ-BR5N4 Dead after 10 Days

I checked the ac plug...it charges my old ASUS laptop just fine, so the power cord is not the issue. Went through all of the online ASUS instruction for hard restarts, etc...nothing! Never had a problem like this with a laptop before. Waited online for Best Buy chat and was told I must schedule a service appointment and bring it in. Unbelievable waste of $600 and entirely too much of my time.

We do understand your disappointment and the inconvenience this may have caused.
If the laptop will no longer boot up or it's just black screen, please do the following. Verify if the AC adapter is connected properly from the laptop to a known good power outlet or AC source. Try another power source. Try to press and hold down the power button to shut it down completely, just in case laptop is not in hibernate mode, wait for at least 10 seconds then power on. Please wait, if the system is applying updates in the System Registry, it will black screen temporarily. If it still black screen after a few minutes, at least 10 minutes, please repeat the power cycle process again. Also, please try to disconnect the power cable and let the unit drain for 24 hours to clear the memory. This will reset the hardware to default settings. After doing this, please reconnect your AC adapter, do not power on the laptop until the battery was charged.
