I bought this Zenbook 14X for my associate’s degree in software development, and it turned out to be the perfect machine. It handled every task I threw at it, high intensity workloads included, while still giving me all day battery life. The OLED display is stunning, with vibrant colors that made photo editing a pleasure and turned movie watching into a truly cinematic experience. The build quality feels premium, the performance is consistently strong, and the overall experience has exceeded my expectations. If you need a reliable, powerful, and beautifully built laptop for college, this one absolutely knocks it out of the park!

I haven't really been a fan of laptops since I've always used my desktop for all of my work, but this laptop seemed to be a great deal (as it was on sale) and I was in the need of one for college. First things first it's a really sleek and beautiful laptop in my opinion. The keyboard feels great being nice and sturdy, the screen is lovely and bright. My only concern would maybe be the battery life on this laptop? But even then it could easily last the entire day off of one full charge from the previous night. But so far it seems like a speedy and reliable laptop that I could see lasting for the rest of my time at college. I just wish that there was an option for me to upgrade the storage on this computer, which there is unfortunately no t an option to do so.

I finally found a computer I like. This ticks all my boxes, has great battery life, screen, performance, thermals, keyboard (though the spacebar is hit or miss, I might see about a warranty repair), Windows Hello, and it can even play some video games. I swapped the SSD for a 2TB. My only real gripe is the RAM. It's soldered and not upgradeable. I get that it's closer to the CPU and faster and so on but c'mon, stop this trend. Keep things modular.

While the performance of the laptop is great. Battery life seems to drain with us of multiple Microsoft programs (word, excel, power point, and a few open tabs on chrome). The unit is fairly light and compact and easy to manage when on the go. I have seen smaller chargers that deliver about the se amount of juice for the device but the size isn't too bad. The screen is great, but very prone to finger prints and glare is kind of an annoying issue. Easily resolved by installing a matte finish screen protector from Amazon (about $12). The sound that comes out of this laptop is great. Dolby atmos(ish). Don't take that as a bad thing. I've used a lot of different laptops and have a Dolby atmos system in my living. This laptop does provide surround sound in the right setting. It's plenty loud and no distortion at the highest volume. Overall, there's not much to complain about this laptop. Great for students or even as a workhorse for light photo/video editing. I'm happy with this purchase.

+ Very well design, good build quality, small bezels + Amazing screen. It's sharp and crisp with true black and infinite contrast + Nice-sized keyboard and trackpad + Touchscreen, can be useful sometimes + Good enough specs most tasks - So-so battery life - Trackpad can be weird. I don't know if it's too sensitive or not, but sometimes it just does random things when all I want to do is go Back or double-click. Not often, but it happens - 3.5lbs isn't that light. I had the chance to use an LG Gram 14 for a month, and boy that thing is featherweight (2lbs). Obviously the Asus has better build and is slightly bigger, but still, wish it was a touch lighter

I recently picked this device up during an exchange, and it is VERY nice. You would be very hard pressed to find another laptop in this price range that is this nice, all around. The screen is AMAZING, and the device is as quick as you would expect it to be with these specs. After all the updates, and stripping back a lot of the unneeded MS, and just garbage in general, this thing is Blazing fast. Not a ASUS issue, but it seems that my lid has a small dent in it, possibly from Shipping, and I will need to exchange it before the return period has ended. Overall I am super satisfied with my purchase, even at regular price, and would Highly recommend this laptop. At this moment, you will not find a better PC laptop, at this price point. ASUS has a winner here.

On paper, this is the best bang for your buck in the $700 range if you want a thin & light (NOT a gaming laptop), The OLED is awesome, and brightness has not been an issue even when I'm teaching at church here the lights are bright. All laptops are quick out of the box, this one is powerful enough I think I should get 5-10 years out of it since I don't need anything crazy from it. I got the 16gb model, i did not need the i7, but 8gb is not enough ram these days. I took two stars off for two things. First, while the keyboard is great overall, the spacebar is terrible! There are two contributing factors: the keyboard is sunk down pretty far because the keycaps stick up pretty high (you have the sink the keyboard tray the height of the keycaps do the keys do not touch the screen when closed). But the worst part is that the space bar is NOT stabilized on the edge closest to your palm. i went into bestbuy and confirmed the model on display has the same issue as mine. You can push the front edge of the space key almost flush with the deck, and it still has not activated the keypress. My thumb will hit the higher part of the deck around the touchpad, and then be unable to push the spacebar down far enough to activate it. SO I either dig my thumb into the aluminum deck further, or I life my hand to give my thumb a better angle, or I slide my thumb up to the top of the spacebar and hit it up there, where they do have it properly stabilized. I really wonder if something was designed backwards, and they meant for the stabilized to be on the bottom but it ended up going out of the factory on the top. If you read a lot of reviews, no one is complaining about this. So take my complaint with a grain of salt. My wife has not complained, so maybe it's my thumb shape, but I've used enough keyboard to know that something is not right about the stabilizer. The other thing is that it seems to run hot just browsing the web and watching youtube. In just one hour the fan will slowly push harder and harder. I thought maybe my lap was suffocating it, but I did a 1 hour presentation with it, and the powerpoint had a 35 min video, and I could hear the fan about 20 minutes in. And it was on a flat table, not being charged, in efficiency mode. It seemed to quiet down after the video was over.

The screen is amazing. Battery life is really good. Performance is top-tier. What more could you want? I would've liked a 1TB SSD but the Zenbook is still an absolute weapon at this price.

If you get this computer for $699 (it goes on sale at least once a month), you will not find a better value in a computer. These premium features are insane: - 120hz touch screen OLED display - Current generation I7 high-performance variant (The "H" at the end indicates Intel's higher-performing chips) - 2x Thunderbolt 4 and HDMI 2.1 - Solid metal chassis - Fantastic keyboard with solid touchpad All these things are insanely premium features for a crazy price. Even if you get this for $999, it is still solid value.

The Asus ZenBook 14x is a laptop deal that you won’t find anywhere else. The display is by far the best part about this laptop, it is beatiful. The 16gb of ram, core i7, and 512gb of storage are more than enough for the majority of users and has been wonderful for school work. The only thing more that I would want out of this laptop is if the battery life could be a bit better and that the speakers would fire from the top of the laptop—rather than the bottom, as it makes the sound a bit muffled unless the laptop is on a flat, hard surface

I waited until I had a chance to use the notebook for a while before reviewing. So far, it has been everything I hoped for, and then some. The display is gorgeous, the keyboard feel is excellent, the speed is great. Not one single complaint about this gem. Some people may not care much about the virtual numpad, but I used to always buy big notebooks just to get that pad as part of the keyboard. This virtual keypad, in combination with the touchscreen, made doing taxes much easier. Just a great computer.

You get a lot for your money with this laptop. Purchased one for an assistant of mine, and then I liked it so much I purchased one for myself. This laptop is a solid laptop for most tasks, aside from gaming, and heavier creative tasks. But if you're doing that, you already know what you want. This is a good laptop for most people looking for a pc that offers a lot of a reasonable price. OLED screen is great, battery life will get you about 6.5 hours before needing to recharge, good enough for most people. 13th gen cpu is snappy, and the build quality is solid.

She specifically mentioned loving the: Size Speed Resolution Touch Screen She said battery life could be longer but always enough if she remembers to plug it in nightly and it seems pretty good for how fast the computer is

Easy 5 stars but would give it 4 because it has the potential of being the best selling laptop in the USA among students and even gamers. Let me cook. read till the end. Pros: Stunning High Quality OLED display, 120Hz refresh rate, decently lightweight, loud speakers (keep that in mind), Dolby Atmos Support, Can charge up to 80% to maximize battery lifespan Cons for me : speakers randomly blew out while listening. Cons: USB-C placement, maybe just me but both usb-c s are on the right side which is a no no, one has to be on the left for it to be even, speakers in low volume sound amazing but in highs, it sounds very cheap with no bass. No LTPO display for better battery life, for a laptop display with this pixel density and refresh rate , you expect it to be an LTPO (where the display can dynamically refresh from 1 hz to 120 hz without going into the settings. As seen on the iPhone 15 Pro max to save battery life . Mediocre Facial recognition system. dont get me wrong, i absolutely appreciate then facial recognition system but it isnt secure enough, when youre not looking directly at it, it still unlocks which is a flaw in my books. After a couple months, the laptop started to creak near the right speaker section which is weird but for the price you cant complain. Potential Redesign (My concept): Display: Add LTPO display to maximize battery life, Increase max brightness to atleast 650-800 nits of brightness and over 1000 nits in hdr content. Rounded edged display Improve facial recognition or go to fingerprints Remove HDMI port in favor for 4 usb c ports (include usbc to hdmi adapter in box title should just be "ZenBook" 4 speaker system that wont blow up randomly by harmon kardon with deep bass and surround sound. Solid State mouse for a more premium feel, and make the design look like a macbook but not too much to be sued, and more high quality materials. Should start at 999 for 1tb and i7 + 16gb DDR5 ram for this to probably be the best selling laptop in america, if its too expensive, make a cheaper laptop named "Zenbook Air" which will be the same like this but will miss a very bright display and LTPO as well as a solid state mouse. could be 749 for an i5 and 512gb ssd while still retaining 16gb ddr5. Want the extreme?? "Zenbook Pro" with an available i9 and rtx graphics card ( 4060 standard) but goes up to 165 hz while having the best battery life in its class. or having a 6 speaker system . starting at 1399. Well how about gamers? i would call it the "ROG Zenbook" which only has an i5 or i7 and starts from 999 all the way to over 1999. ill leave the rest to asus to develop, but for the casuals like me, i would absolutely recommend the zenbook if it was redesigned my way . Asus, you could make the best selling laptop with this specification if built right, it could even beat a macbook.
