    I bought two of these only months apart. Only one worked good and the other one has quit working properly. I've already had to have it serviced once and now I have to have it serviced again. Buyer beware!

    Defective Unit, RAM is Soldered Onboard

    I received a defective unit of this laptop. The screen had a small, white pressure mark in the bottom right corner and the HDMI port does not work. When I plugged in this laptop to my external monitor, I wasn't getting any video signal. Overall, it's a great laptop but mine just happened to be defective. I will be returning it and I'll get something that's more higher-end since 8GB of RAM is not enough for me. Worst of all, the RAM is soldered on which means you are stuck with 8GB forever.

    The laptop is OK. Bought it mostly for work. Camera is horrible. Even worse than my 5 year old laptop. Having an issue with entering the PIN. Have to use the onscreen keyboard. Also, turned off voice, but it still comes on.

    I was told that this is the only machine with a 10 key pad on the right side. Then I found out that HP and Dell also make machines with a 10 key pad. I wish I had at least had the oppoortunity to check out an HP or Dell .

    I use my Zenbook for serious photo-editing, freelance technical writing, research, news searches, entertainment and everyday computing. I purchased this product nine months ago to replace an aging laptop with issues. Since then, there have been quantum improvements in the quality, productivity and ease of everything I want a laptop to do. Graphics are spectacular. Speed is fast. Ease of use keeps me calmer and happier ("Zen"-like?).

    this notebook is not that good as it can only have 8gb of ram because it is solder to mother board so no upgrade (even android tablets and phones have more memory other wise it's other specs is ok

    Cant get past Microsoft trying to make me open an

    I cant get past the "Lets add your Microsoft account" screen. Tried ctrl alt delete, nothing. I dont want a Microsoft account. I dont need a Microsoft account to run a Windows op system. Why do they add stuff i don't want, and leave me with no way to proceed forward?

    Bound to get a broken screen!!

    The screen and hinge placement is extremely poor. As just over a month of owning it, I started noticing a small crack in the corner by the hinges. It has now spread across the whole screen

    Blank Screen

    I had the laptop for 2 days. After I charged it and unplugged it, the screen went blank. I called tech support and was advised to return it to store for repair or get a new one. Possibly a bad port. Very disappointed.

    Will not run a monitor via a hub that works because my HP work laptop will. ASUS tech support is nonexistent. They don't even have the product listed on their website. If the Geek Squad can't fix it, it's going back.

    I was told it took very good picture s. That is why I paid the extra money and bought it. My old ssmsung S8 takes much better pictures and works better. To me.

    Good laptop, some negatives

    This is a good overall laptop, but I would NOT buy it expecting to play too many games or do to CPU-intensive tasks in general. Mine stopped running video games at a playable framerate a little while after buying it, and it was kind of disappointing, especially since it has a Ryzen 7. Also, the keyboard backlighting isn't very bright and isn't worth using when there is almost any lighting in the room during use. Overall though, for general work tasks and school use this is a good purchase and I'd recommend it.

    Customer service & warranties don’t exist!!

    I must have gotten a lemon because I’ve had nothing but issues since day 1! Brought it in within 4 months and geek squad claimed there was nothing wrong during their “diagnostics” check!! Battery didn’t last more than 2-3 hours and the computer kept freezing! I did my research and chose asus because it’s a great brand and the Ryzen processor was one of the best! I got a great price as it was the last one and seemingly still paid quite a bit of money with all the additives! I think it was the floor model and placed in the box because now, even with Best Buy total protection, they refuse to fix it claiming nothing is wrong and it’s out of warranty and there is nothing they can do! Countless phone calls with endless multiple service representatives and supposed managers with me as the scapegoat and middleman somehow!! The customer service was absolutely dishonorable! They had me chasing my tail, going to the different stores calling the 800 number speaking with managers getting a case number only to call back and get somebody completely different who claimed they couldn’t honor or reimburse me for this now seemingly useless computer even though there’s records from day, one of me coming in now, five times to have this fixed!! no one there actually cares about their job let alone honors a title of a manager like any other blue color worker they’re collecting a paycheck and going home forgetting what it’s like to be the actual consumer!!

    My wife's old laptop finally died so I did some online research and came across this gem. It's very quick, has a nice premium feel to it. I may need to "break" my laptop so I can upgrade myself.
