Might not run the programs you need
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Think twice before buying this beautiful piece of hardware, because on the inside it runs arm64 which means some of your main software programs won't work very well - if at all. For example - dropbox (despite what you might hear) does not sync properly with arm64. RevoUninstaller does not work with arm64 either - even though it appears to load. Same with Ricoh/Fujitsu scanner programs. They don't work well with arm64. This was super disappointing to discover because all the reviews I've read and watched lauded the wonderful design of this otherwise great laptop. But the "core" issue is the cpu chip which is arm64 - and alot of software is currently incompatible with it. If this just had an i5 intel chip I would give it 10 stars. But as it stands now, it only rates a lowly 2.

We do understand your concern about x86/x64 programs may not run with an ARM64 processor. Although there can be an issues running some programs on ARM64 architecture due to differences in instruction sets between ARM and x86, or x64 architectures, these programs will run properly with Windows 11 since the OS includes an emulator to run x86/x64 software. I’m afraid to use abrasives because it’ll damage the surface so I guess I’ll have to live with the discoloration.

I pick up an open box like new Asus a14 online and once it came to the house it looked fine till I noticed the marks around the lid where you open it. I would really look everything over now, even if listed as like new
