    I purchased a unit with 16gb RAM and a I 7. This unit performs like my 8gb RAM I3. Slow to come up. I contacted the TotalTech support and that was not very successful. First time ASUS user and simply not impressed.

    Please believe the other reviews this laptop I’ve had for Almost 2 weeks I was in the middle of working on a résumé it and never turned back on. Very disappointing I thought I had found the Perfect PC. I spent over $1000 on something and now I’m having to go back to Best Buy so Naturally I’m irritated. It may be a bad batch thing with the batteries but I don’t know if I would keep it if they Are able to get it turned back on. I purchased it for the Chris displays the keypad was very important feature to me I’m mostly going to use this for words and possibly some video editing I’m not a very tech savvy person but I liked it up until he wouldn’t get on.

    Very slow to start up. It has no way to load the disc for my printer, so I have some problems with printing. It doesn’t usually turn off the first few times I try to turn it off.

    Good specs bad performance

    Really nice spaced laptop, that being said I had to return two. Host of problems on both and gave up and bought a different brand, with almost the same specs and it works much much better! I felt like the professor on this laptop was constantly being throttled, and to be honest my MacBook running a haswell cpu ran faster. Also cosmetically the keyboards on both were not aligned properly , which made typing hard as I’d mis letters sometimes as some keys were sunken in below the deck surface. So buyer beware with this model.

      We do understand your concern about the CPU fan noise.



      It is normal, just like any other brand with the same hardware configuration, for the fan to spin at full-throttle and generates noise louder than normal while the laptop is under heavy load like gaming, especially during the initial WINDOWS setup and WINDOWS Update installation. Also, the fan noise will be louder while antivirus software or malware are running continuously in the background. Please ensure the system was not compromised by viruses or malware by doing a full system scan using an internet security software or application.


      When system resource utilization is high, this will generate more heat than normal and tends to trigger the fan to spin at full-throttle and noise will be louder than normal. It does decreases or normalizes once utilization goes down.




      All ASUS products undergo intensive quality control testing and inspections, the keyboard issue is a random problem. We recommend taking it to the nearest BestBuy location for inspection and testing.
