Love this laptop but there are better out there
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Good laptop overall, however glossy screen and low battery life when not used for office errands will drain the battery pretty fast. Noticed fast drain of battery health which is concerning

Solid, but there's room for improvement.
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. The laptop is very solid. I really enjoy the touchscreen, and the battery life is impressive. The speakers have some more to be desired and the ASUS software is a bit annoying, but overall a great laptop.

Asus not recommended
||Posted . Owned for 1 month when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. When it works, it is great. However, it just turns into a black screen frequently and you have to restart it. Also, the AC adapter does not charge it properly most of the time. I had to purchase another in order to use my brand new computer. I contacted Asus and they said I would have to return the entire computer to them in order for them to replace the ad adapter with a new one. That was their only solution. I would be wihout my computer for approximately 10-14 business days. I also had the option to return it to Best Buye, again, the whole computer, which means having to reinstall everything once again. A least this way I would walk out of the store with a new computer, but having to deal with a great deal of inconvenience. I understand why BB would not just replace the adapeter, but find it unconsceiable that ASAS did not offer a customer good experience solution. I plan to return the computer for another brand which hopefully has a better understanding of customer service and provides a more reliable product as well.

So far, so good
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This laptop happens to have the feature set I prefer, with no hardware negatives. I purchased one for my wife, and to explore Win 11. Eventually, I got a second one for myself to replace an old Lenovo. All the negative experiences were from Windows 11.

Best Buy service
||Posted . Owned for 1 month when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Best Buy came through on this. The first unit I took home did not work properly. The display went out when doing install and nothing I could do would bring it back. I took it back and they replaced with a new laptop which worked flawlessly.

Stunning, lightweight and great multi-day battery.
|Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. The Zenbook S 14" is a GORGEOUS laptop that's incredibly thin (at it's thicket point, just over the size of the USB-A port on the side of the chassis) and lightweight at just over 2.5 pounds. What makes this laptop so striking (outside of the thin profile) is the industrial aesthetic provided by the ceramic and aluminum-fused finish (called Ceraluminum) which also helps to reduce fingerprints and ruggedize the finish. The OLED display is equally stunning - not only is it almost edge-to-edge, it's also got a 120Hz refresh rate which makes it very smooth and responsive and extends the usage of the laptop to content creation when you consider the display is low blue light, Pantone validated and 100% DCI-P3 color space. The only gripe I had with the display was that I wished it were brighter. 400 nits does not fare well outdoors or in overly-lit environments. After getting the laptop to the desktop, one of the nice things that jumps out at you immediately (beyond the stunning display) is that trackpad. It features something called Smart Gestures which allows you to perform quick actions on the outer edges (sides and top) of the trackpad. Most laptops only come about half-bright on default, so instead of having to jump into Control Panel to change this, you can easily swipe up on the outer right side of the trackpad. Volume can be adjusted up or down as well by performing a similar swipe gesture on the left side of the trackpad. While media is playing, you can swipe left or right to control playback (rewind, fast forward). Port-wise, there's an HDMI, headphone jack, USB-A and (2) Thunderbolt 4 (or USB-C ports). The Harman Kardon speakers sounded great. For music they were balanced with no noticeable distortion. For movies, dialogue was clear. These were definitely an upgrade over your average laptops speakers as was the included WiFi 7 (although my WiFi 7 router hadn't arrived in time for this review so I wasn't able to fully test that aspect). For video playback, I was easily able to get over 14 hours of battery as tested with Netflix/Hulu thru browser playback. While on the battery subject, performing everyday browsing and productivity (e.g. Documents, Spreadsheets and Presentation) creating and editing, I was easily able to get a over 8 hours of battery. In fact, I could go several days on a single charge, which would make this great for an on-the-go student or professional (a realtor or field sales profession comes to mind). The embedded webcam is very functional, especially when combined with Windows Studio Effects which provides some very useful video collaboration tools like Background Blur, Eye Contact (which makes it look like you're still looking center at the camera even if you're looking down at presenter notes during a presentation), Automatic Framing (keeps you centered) and Portrait Light (to add lighting in poorer lighting conditions). The webcam also supports Windows Hello for facial recognition login. This did make me realize, that there is, however, no fingerprint option on this laptop. There are also Mic mute and camera shutter close function keys on the keyboard with light indicators so you can quickly mute or "turn your camera off" and know that either or both actions have successfully been performed. While this laptop IS touch screen, there's no ASUS Pen included. I was mixed on this because while it would've been a cool addition, the screen does not lay completely flat - it's got a fixed angle tilt, so I don't feel like I would've used the stylus pen even if it were included. If that's something that interests you this model IS compatible with the ASUS Pen. What I'd improve or change: I think 16GB (especially with an integrated GPU where this is going to be shared) is on the lower side. I think 32GB should've been standard here, especially since the RAM cannot be upgraded (interestingly enough the storage can, however). For higher-end productivity sales (e.g. analytics or dashboards) and content creation (e.g. pretty much most of the Adobe apps) you would be better off investing in extra RAM. In summary, this is a BEAUTIFUL, light and functional everyday laptop. I would easily recommend this for a student or mobile professional due to the light weight, great multi-day battery life and focus on virtual collaboration tools, aided by both hardware (keyboard webcam/mic toggle) and software (Windows Studio Effects) features. I do wish it came with 32GB RAM, especially since it's non-upgradeable (that could ultimately help you squeeze one extra year or two out of this in the long-term even if you didn't immediately benefit from the extra RAM in the short-term). That along with the already impressive display would also allow this to cater more to the creative crowd.
