Sleek,Powerful & Portable w/ stunning OLED display
|Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. The ASUS Zenbook S 14 is an ultra-thin, lightweight laptop that combines impressive performance with outstanding display quality. Its slim profile offers a sturdy feel while remaining lightweight for effortless portability. At just 2.65 lbs, it’s ideal for those frequently on the go. Design and Build Quality: At just 0.47 inches thick and weighing only 2.65 lbs, this laptop is exceptionally portable. The laptop feels rigid and solid. The sleek gray stone-like finish on the lid, complemented by an oversized silver ASUS logo, is eye-catching, though it does attract fingerprints. Nonetheless, the overall aesthetic is minimalist and professional. Display: The standout feature of the Zenbook S 14 is its 14-inch 3K OLED touchscreen. With a 2880x1800 resolution and a 16:10 aspect ratio, it offers vibrant colors, sharp text, and fantastic contrast, making it a joy to work on. The 500-nit peak brightness ensures that the screen remains clear and legible, even in bright environments. The 120Hz refresh rate contributes to smooth scrolling and responsiveness, and the variable refresh rate ensures optimal power efficiency. As someone who works with video and picture editing, I appreciate how the colors are accurate. While the screen isn’t the brightest I’ve seen, it’s more than adequate for most situations, and ASUS has included features like pixel refresh to minimize the risk of burn-in. Performance: This laptop brings a noticeable boost in processing power. It makes multitasking smooth and speeds up tasks like local AI processing. I’ve found that the laptop handles demanding workloads like video editing or light gaming without any significant slowdowns. Battery Life & Port Selection Battery life is impressive, averaging around 8-9 hours for regular usage. Plus, the battery charges quickly, reaching 60% in less than an hour through Thunderbolt 4, though it would have been ideal if the charger was more travel-friendly. While ASUS’s included charger doesn’t have detachable AC prongs or a folding design, it’s compatible with any USB-C charger, offering flexibility. Port-wise, the Zenbook S 14 has a respectable selection: two Thunderbolt 4 ports, one USB-A 10Gbps, HDMI 2.1, and a 3.5mm headphone jack. Keyboard & Trackpad typing on the backlit keyboard is comfortable, with decent key travel that some may find slightly shallow but effective. Large trackpad supports Windows gestures, and their custom gestures for brightness and volume control are thoughtful, though I found myself accidentally adjusting brightness and eventually turned that off. Audio & Webcam Quality: The four Harman Kardon-tuned speakers are surprisingly clear for such a thin laptop, delivering good sound without distortion, although bass could be stronger. The microphone quality is excellent for video calls, and the webcam performs well in decent lighting conditions, though graininess is noticeable in low light. The camera’s eye-tracking and background blur features are a nice addition for video calls. Pros: Stunning 3K OLED touchscreen with vibrant colors and high refresh rate Lightweight and ultra-thin design Solid build quality Excellent battery life and fast-charging capabilities Comfortable keyboard and responsive trackpad Good audio performance for its size Overall, this laptop is a stylish, powerful, and durable laptop that excels in daily tasks with the added novelty of Copilot+ AI features. While it might not be the most powerful laptop for intensive gaming or professional-grade media editing, for most users, it offers the perfect balance of performance and portability.

Frustrated
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This notebook has been extremely frustrating to use. So many different pop up and notifications. The method of stopping these varies and often does not work. Start with the pin. You can not type the pin at first start up. You have to restart before it will work. The list goes on and is often something new.

Powerhouse internals, beautiful design
|Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This is a fabulous laptop with powerful processing performance from its Intel Core Ultra 7 series 2 processor, 16 gigs of LPDDR5X ram, Intel Arc graphics, 1 TB PCIe 4.0 SSD, and the amazing 14-inch 3K AMOLED screen. To say that this laptop is a processing powerhouse would be an understatement. However, it should be noted early on that this is not, and should not be dubbed as a gaming machine. The Intel Arc graphics processor works great for all things – except gaming. Don’t expect this to be your mobile replacement for gaming, the GPU power just isn’t there. But it can do everything else with ease. Design and Build This laptop was built with functionality in mind. A fabulously functional machine ideal for work, school, and maybe some light gaming if you need a break in between. It has a very classy and clean look in a compact, small footprint frame. Solid built with a durable feel. It’s well-suited for any student or professional who requires strong, reliable performance in a compact and super portable laptop. I really like the sleek look of this design, very thin and lightweight with minimal screen bezel. Performance Powered by the Intel 256v Core Ultra 7 series 2 processor and 16 gigs of LPDDR5X ram. This duo packs a punch with some left to spare. Phenomenal processing and rendering power with Ultra AI capabilities. The super-fast low power DDR5X RAM enables powerful multitasking for busy users working on multiple projects at once. It is important to note that the RAM of this laptop cannot be upgraded as it is soldered to the mainboard so be sure to choose the appropriate amount of RAM that you will require because you cannot add more later. The large, 1TB, next-gen PCIe 4.0 SSD provides plenty of drive space and impressive speeds. Display Stunning 120 Hz 14-inch 3K AMOLED touch screen display. ASUS really takes pride in their displays and this laptop makes no exception. Beautiful 3K AMOLED with unbelievable color reproduction at a resolution of 2880 x 1800 pixels. The magnificent color recreation and contrast in this AMOLED screen are undeniable and really make this computer come to life providing beautiful images and incredible detail for a screen this size. Photographers and video editors will definitely be in love with this display. The touchscreen ability adds functionality as well. Connectivity This laptop has two USB-C 4/Thunderbolt 4 ports, an additional USB-C 3.2 port, HDMI 2.1, and headphone jack. All at next gen speed for connecting additional drives, displays, or any other external devices you may want to attach. Keyboard, Touchpad, Camera The backlit keyboard with customizable lighting is sleek and smooth. The oversized touchpad with multi-touch gestures enhances functionality and efficiency. 1080p Front-Facing Camera with built in mic work well for smooth and clear conference calls and meetings. Battery Life The battery life and charge times are excellent. Thunderbolt 4 charging is versatile and quick and the 72 Wh battery are in for the long haul. Software Running on the latest Windows 11 OS with Copilot+. Future proof yourself for what’s to come with this machine developed and engineered to utilize the latest technologies, some of which aren’t even developed yet. Conclusion This ASUS - Zenbook S 14 - 14" 3K OLED Touch Laptop is a phenomenal performer, ideal for working individuals and students. Quality construction, beautiful display, and powerful next-gen internals make this an ideal future proof laptop that you’ll be able to use for years to come.

Powerful and portable - all day power to spare
|Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.ASUS is stepping up in the world with a beautiful “ceramiluminum” finish on this machine. It’s a sign that they’ve learned to make a machine not only functional on the inside, but pretty on the outside as well. It’s comfortable to use, with a sharp, clear, high contrast OLED screen. The keyboard is backlit and has a standard amount of travel. The layout feels full size. It would be nice if they started intending the keys, like Logitech does on their keyboards, but you can’t have everything! Under the hood, you’ll find this is one of the first with Intel’s new breed Core Ultra 7 series 2 processor. What does it mean to be a Co-pilot Plus PC you might wonder? Today iit means great battery life. Tomorrow, it might mean much more. I’ve used it for a few days so far and it goes without external power pretty much all day. For me, this means 8-4 with several meetings / note taking throughout. At the end of the day, there was still 25% battery left. Enough to do a Zoom call after dinner without charging. The promise of what’s to come may be enough to get some to invest in this machine over a similarly sized machine without the AI processor built in. AI models currently live in clouds built by Microsoft, Google, and Facebook. The processors from Intel, AMD, and Snapdragon are designed to run AI models locally, against only your data. This will mean your data will not escape your machine to become part of the seeds for future mass AI responses. For now, there’s some enhancements to background replacement and object removal. Windows promises that Co-pilot PCs will get ‘Recall’ a way to look back in history to see what files you were working on. It will be a boon for those who are scatter brained, but also work on way too many different things during the day. Hopefully, this will mean better effectiveness of getting through my To Do last each day. The case is slim, but still has all the ports you need: HDMI, USB-A, USB-C/Thunderbolt. Charging it through a 65 watt plug in adapter, but you can use any of the small after market USB-PD chargers. I have a small one I used with my last machine, that’s lighter and slimmer. Despite the slim case, the machine is solid to use in all situations. I was holding it with one arm, while maneuvering with the mouse using the other. There were no issues. My last machine with a plastic case would bend a little, making it harder to use the click option on the touchpad. Sound is decently loud for such a small, slim machine. Callers were able to hear me without issue using the built in mic. Picture quality from the built-in camera was excellent. ASUS enhanced the function keys by moving volume, play, pause, and skip from them to the touch pad. The sides and corners of the touchpad become slider controls for media functions. In many ways they’re easier to use and easier to find. I’m a keyboard first user and it’s annoying to look at the keyboard to find which F key handles volume. Using the touchpad I feel is more intuitive. Overall, this is a bit of a premium price for what it will become. The battery life may be reason for some to get it, but others will find they can get what they need at a more value oriented option. If you have the cash, there’s nothing else like it right now.

Laptop
|Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Let’s start from the very beginning. I really like how the laptop comes packaged completely in recyclable material. And the material doesn’t have a cheap feeling. I was thinking about keeping the inner box to reuse it as a storage box. The one drawback was the amount of bubble wrap. I’ve seen paper cushioning that replaces bubble wrap so maybe they could have used that to keep with the sustainable them. Anyway, on to the actual laptop. My first impression was how light it is. It weighs practically nothing. I am comparing this to the laptop I use on a daily basis which is older and heavier, but it also puts my iPad pro to shame as well. It’s comfortable to carry around with one hand and it’s easy to sit it in you lap without it starting to weigh you legs down after a few minutes. Set up was relatively quick and easy. It walks you through the entire process giving you the option to restore from a previous PC, connect to your smartphone (either Android or Apple), and subscribe to Office 365 and the gaming platform, both at an additional fee. While I was going through setup I had to connect back to the wifi several different times because it kept dropping the connection. Not sure wha that was about but after setup was complete I haven’t had the same issue with the wifi, yet. That was the only frustrating part about the whole process. The keyboard is backlit, which is a feature I didn’t know I needed until I didn’t have it. The keys are very quiet and feel cushiony under your fingertips. The touchpad responds to a light touch and it incorporates several functions like volume, brightness, menu, and rewind and fast forward just by dragging your finger along the edge for the appropriate function. I liked this feature as an alternative to the keys on the keyboard. I’m not very tech smart so my review of the processor is from the viewpoint of just an ordinary girl. I will say that the computer is fast for everyday computing. There’s no delay. I do not game so I cannot say how responsive it would be in that area. The graphics are nice and crisp with just the default settings. The speakers are definitely better than any other computer speakers I’ve had. There’s a sufficient amount of bass so you can turn up your music without it feeling like you’re listening on toy speakers. Again this is from out the box settings but the audio system is very impressive. This system is an upgrade for me and my last laptop is only about 2 years old. At this price point it delivers on everything it promises and more.

Overall a great laptop, slightly subpar webcam.
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I've been using this laptop for a couple of months now. I really like the speed of the device, the display is great, audio is good too. The touch screen is not really useful for me, but every once in a while I use it and it's nice to have the option. The battery is great, I charge it until full and can typically use it (zoom/streaming) for at least 5 hours before needing to charge it again. The main drawback - why I gave 4 stars instead of 5 - is the video camera. When I first started the laptop up and tested Zoom and the Camera app, the video quality was terrible. I considered returning it but in the following week as I kept using it, the quality seemed to improve. Maybe there was a Windows update? Either way, the quality is still not great, but it's sufficient for zoom. It works fine for smaller screens where the pixelation is not very apparent. I recommend the laptop so long as you're not using the camera to make videos, in which case you'd probably want a separate high-quality camera anyway.

Asus Came Through - Nice Sleek Laptop
|Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This is a very nice looking laptop. It is a very dark gray with silver lines going across it in a geometric pattern. I think it looks good and sleek. Thin and light. It is 14” which I consider small. But if that fits what you want, then there you go. But folks, the power cord. Why is it so short? It’s short. And then it has a whole humongous power block…. At the end of the cord!! Not a power block in the middle where you essentially have two cords to form one. But 1 cord with one humongous power block that has to plug into the outlet. I was actually shocked. I did not know technology was still doing this in 2024. That alone knocks off one star. At least the other end plugs into a usb-c port in the laptop. I want to specifically mention that there is a usb-A port, which is a plus. Usb-A is classic and should always be included, but it is not always included, and I don’t like adapters. Setup was easy as usual. There is really not much to say about it. It goes through setup the way it is supposed to and I didn’t find any hiccups. The keyboard is responsive and backlit. No issues with typing on the keys. It has a big trackpad. And, hey, you can use the trackpad to adjust volume and brightness. I always want a number pad, but I am aware that is not the usual… unfortunately, so when you get one, it’s a nice extra. This laptop has no number pad and it’s not a dealbreaker. The display looks amazing; very vibrant. Battery life is also amazing and super impressive; the power is going to last. Also worth mentioning, I am a regular close-the-lid-to-put-it-to-sleep-overnight user; I do not power down my laptops often. I was surprised at how well it held power when I got back to it the next day. It navigates internet well (responsive). It handles Microsoft apps well. The speakers are okay. I love great audio, but this will do; and is fine for the regular laptop user. I am not doing anything overly intense on the regular, but I am a daily user, so this laptop gets the job done in a great way, other than the power cord/power brick. I like it. It looks good and it performs well, with the display and the battery life as the star performers. I would recommend this laptop.

The Zenbook Completely Changed My Mind!
|Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. Not going to lie. I had a bad experience with an Asus Laptop years ago which left a bitter taste in my mouth and kept me from even looking at an Asus, until now. The Zenbook S14 has completely changed my mind on Asus and their products. Right out of the box, I was excited. The sleek design, rich feel, and thin profile captivated me from the first second. Then I opened it up. Everything is precisely made. Even being a relatively smaller sized laptop, the Zenbook feels like a bigger device, in a good way! You can go up to the top of this screen and Best Buy will give you all the numbers and specs. But there’s something to be said about the eye test. This screen pops! The touchscreen is a must! As is the backlit keyboard. These features make all of the difference in the Zenbook being a versatile device that makes me productive no matter if I’m docked at the office with my two screens, or if I’m sitting in our den with the lights low watching TV. I absolutely LOVE the facial recognition sign in feature, and was surprised at the camera’s capability for proximity sensing. The proximity sensing will turn your screen off if you turn your head or walk away and will come back on when you return. Small touches like this will pay dividends on battery consumption. Pairing the high speed Intel Core Ultra 7 Series 2 processor with the WiFi 7 capabilities (must have WiFi 7 to take full advantage) make a machine that absolutely BURNS! No matter what I’m doing work-wise or streaming, it never bogged down. The Zenbook does admirably when it comes to movie video and audio quality. While I typically use wireless headphones, I was pleasantly surprised by the output of the four Harman/Kardon speakers which paired beautifully with the crisp 3K OLED screen. It should be noted that the refresh rate is a nice 120hz, compared to some of these “high quality” screens that only push 60hz. It makes a big difference! I am so excited to replace my aging rock of a laptop with this svelte, work of art! I look forward to using the Zenbook for many years to come and would highly recommend this laptop to anyone in the market.

Finally a compact and performing laptop!!!
|Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Let me tell you about the Asus Zenbook s14. Right out of the box, I was blown away by how light it was. Asus has come up with an efficient everyday transportable laptop. It has a responsive performance and a fantastic display, utilizing Intel Arc and giving magnificent graphics. This model is not best for the hardcore gamer, but everyday use is impressive. It has an AMOLED display of 14 inches with an incredible 2880 x 1800 screen resolution. That is also a touch screen. The processor is an Intel core ultra 7 series 2, which is quite impressive. And the one-terabyte SSD drive inside gives you flawless access to your files and media. I love it, but even after all the updates I did on the box, I've had a couple of times where it wouldn't turn on, and I had to plug it up and wait. And at the time it was completely charged so I am still puzzled to why this happened. It works fine now, but I hope that was a one-time issue. In the market for a compact beast of a laptop, this is the one. It comes with co-pilot + as a part of Windows 11 but doesn't do much. But it's worth checking out.

I really like this Zenbook
|Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. The ASUS Zenbook S14 is a really neat piece of technology. It's super lightweight, compact, and has a nice look on the outer case . It's pretty fast and the WiFi 6 is amazing. It's so light, it has replaced my iPad as my favorite streaming device. I can take it anywhere The sound is really good. Suprisingly good, I was really impressed with the dynamic range of the speakers. I really can't speak highly enough of it, great job Asus! The screen looks great and is in the top 3 of my favorite things. The screen is small so it is perfect for binging any media. The OLED is really brilliant. Rich blacks and all the colors pop off the screen. The touchscreen is perfect! I do a lot of work in Excel and the touchscreen makes the work flow so much faster. The touchpad is easily my favorite part of this Zenbook. It's very responsive and natural feeling. The gestures are also very convienet. I can easily dim the screen when I'm working or turn it up to watch a movie, same with the volume. Overall, this is a great laptop, I really like it.

Good Laptop
|Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This is a pretty good laptop. I love how thin and compact it is. It has many great features. I'll mention some of them here. Firstly, the port selection on this laptop is okay, but could be better. It includes two USB-C ports (left), one HDMI port (left), a 3.5 mm headphone jack (left), and one USB-A port (right). I feel like they can include more (maybe an extra USB-A port and a USB-C port on the right side), especially considering how much extra space there is on the sides. Secondly, Windows Hello is quite nicely executed on this laptop. The built-in infrared sensor can unlock the laptop in a second. It doesn't have a fingerprint sensor, but the face recognition is good enough that you probably won't need it. Thirdly, the Intel Core Ultra 7 in here is quite fast. I just ran an update and it took about a minute. The fans do get a little loud at startup, but they eventually quiet down. Fourthly, the specs and overall build quality are solid. It comes with 16 GB of LPDDR5X RAM, running at 8533 MT/S, and also has 1 TB of storage. It also has a great OLED display. The mousepad is also really good and has haptic feedback. Overall, I'd recommend this laptop to anyone looking for an office or college laptop.

Very beautiful
|Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. The ASUS Zenbook S 14 is a very beautiful and yet powerful laptop. The thought of the design really goes with the name Zenbook. First off, the laptop seems to be very well built. It has plenty of storage that can help anyone in need of the extra space for the things we need. The set up is very simple and easy to use just like any other laptop. The screen resolution and picture quality is great and could have not asked for anything better. The only thing i would have liked to see is the screen fold a little further back; we are in the times that most laptops should be able to be used as tablets and this one lacks that option. Not a deal breaker due to all the other extra benefits it has. Overall, I am very satisfied with this laptop, and it would make a great addition to anyone looking for that next level laptop. It is perfect for work game and videos. Additional it is very responsive and will not let you down. The computer is pretty much up to par with all other laptops in the market, but the design is what separates it from the rest.

Overall great thin and light
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Screen is great, plenty bright in the sun. Stays cool and quiet. Keyboard is comfortable.
