Excellent performance in such a thin and light laptop. This laptop is seriously light and very portable, but that doesn't mean small performance. This new Intel Lunar Lake chip packs 8 cores, a beefy iGPU that can actually do some light gaming and an NPU that meets requirements for the new AI PC in Windows. The 8 cores are 4P and 4E cores. Intel ditched the hyper threading on these cores to keep this chip super efficient. They did this by getting the IPC through the roof, meaning these 8 cores can keep up with laptops with much higher core counts. The new Intel iGPU is based on Intel's upcoming Battlemage architecture and o boy this thing is good. Whether you're watching an 8K video on YouTube or playing some of your favorite games, this iGPU handles it all really well. Even modern AAA titles are playable on this laptop with reduced settings or resolution. Older games can easily run at over 120fps, meaning you can max out that 120Hz OLED panel. Speaking of the panel, did I mention this thing is 3K 120Hz OLED? Whether you're just browsing the web or playing games, the screen is buttery smooth. You will notice this smoothness just scrolling on webpages or reading documents. It's fairly bright at 400nits, has great HDR support, and has adaptive sync! Yes this screen is 48-120Hz adaptive sync and provides a tear-free gaming experience. Speakers are above average, clear and loud, Dolby Support in the driver helps add a bit more. Very pleased. The keyboard feels great to type on and the backlighting gets very bright and each key is lit properly with the white light! The text on the keyboard is also big and easy to find your key quick. I tested the display port out feature over TB4, this laptop has 2x TB4. It had no issue running my 4K 240Hz OLED. Great to see this. Fan noise on this laptop is minimal even when running the fans at maximum speed for gaming (you can choose fan speed in Asus software) or nearly dead silent when doing light tasks. And finally battery life, WOW! This laptop has what feels like all day battery life. Insane for an x86 Intel laptop. They finally did it, it seems they now have class leading battery life. If you're in the market for a new laptop, this should be top of your list! If you're a student or business professional that wants a thin and mobile laptop with great performance and all day battery this is for you. Then when you want to wind down and do a bit of light gaming, it can do that too. Overall, just a great laptop that does well in all areas.

One of the best computers I have ever had. The Lunar Lake processor provides extensive battery life. It has one if the fastest NPUs with a TOPs of 47. The screen is OLED and outstanding. It also does a decent job of video rendering using Adobe Premier. It outperforms my old laptop, a top of the line Surfacebook 3. The notebook is sturdy and light. The only drawback is the shift symbols on the keboard are somewhat hard to see, but this is a minor drawback. It is also somewhat perplexing why these new generation Series 2 processors are not listed as such on the unit. They truly are a significant advance which leaves AMD in the dust and a avoids software compatibility problems.

This is a review for the second unit I have purchased. I originally purchased this unit due to the massively positive reviews it received. This Asus laptop is a very fine machine. Its OLED screen is bright enough for indoor use. HDR content looks beautiful when HDR is enabled. The body with its ceraluminum top is also a nice touch. It's lightweight and small enough that it would fit nicely on an airplane tray if used while traveling. When under load, the fans are audible but not loud enough to be disruptive. Where this laptop suffers is in its audio. As reviewers have mentioned, the audio does carry a considerable amount of base for a laptop, rivaling some other laptops like the Macbook Air and, to some extent, the Macbook Pro. However, even at low volumes, there is distortion. The laptop comes with a sound system that uses Cirrus Audio. Cirrus makes good stuff. But, regardless of what my configuration settings are for audio... - Dolby Atmos On/Off - Asus AI noise cancellation On/Off - Asus Audio modes (Dynamic all the way down to Custom with it Volume boost on/off or Spacial audio on/off) - Windows Spatial audio on/off from the Windows audio settings ... I have been unable to clear out the distortion i hear on this laptop. For those with audio knowledge, I find that the area where this laptop really has issues with distortion occur between 670Hz and 800Hz and is quite noticeable when listening to piano music. For other genres of music (rock/trance), it's still there isn't so pronounced and is easier to overlook. I have tried to look past the audio issue. But as a person who listens to a lot of music, this laptop loses a lot of value for me. As mentioned at the start, this is my second laptop. I replaced the first one as I was thinking it was a defective speaker. Now that the second one has the same issue, I do believe that it's a software driver issue. As of this writing, the laptop is running the latest driver available. Hopefully, a solution will be found. For now, the audio issue a deal breaker for me. I'll be returning the unit. If audio isn't a big concern for you, this laptop is fantastic.

I would give this laptop 4.5 stars if I could, but overall it's excellent. Lunar Lake (Core Ultra 200V series) doesn't have the same multi-threaded grunt that other PCs (like SD X and Ryzen AI) have, but I mostly use this for office style work, browsing, and coding. I like the balance of efficiency, screen quality, compatibility, and "everyday" performance that it gives more than any other laptop system by far! On to the laptop: Pros: - Great screen and overall build quality - Good sound quality - Decent touchpad and keyboard Cons: - I wish the display went flat - Cooling system could be better. The Lenovo Slim 7i Aura is much cooler running - Really could have used dual sided USB-C. Overall, I think the Zenbook S 14 is a great PC though. Happy to replace my M1 macbook air with it.

The Zenbook S 14 has turned out to be an incredible laptop. It checks all the boxes for me. It's lightweight but still feels sturdy with a stable, snappy keyboard. The top cover of the laptop is made of a material ASUS calls "Ceraluminum" which looks and feels premium. The OLED screen is amazing and somehow the battery life is still longer than any Windows laptop I've ever had thanks to the new, efficient Intel Lunar Lake processor. This model does cost more than the "Zumaia Gray" version, but the 16gb extra memory is helpful and I do like the silver and white finish. All in all, 5 stars, no complaints!

This is a fast sleek multitasking machine! This handles every demanding task and tabs you wanna open! Its very versatile with the touch screen display and the beautiful oled. Aestically the looks are elegant and eccentric. I love the feel and weight of the Ceraluminum. Instant snap on any task i throw at it. I highly recommend this device for multitasking editing and even college studies.

Pros: 1, Its beautiful, it just looks and feels very premium from the screen quality to the build quality. 2, Battery life is awesome, the very first time I used it right out of the box (while some initial background setup tasks are happening and windows is checking for and running updates), I used 8% for an hour and a half of my typical use, which involves excel open, 3-4 browser tabs, and the chatgpt desktop app open with brightness maxed. Thats over 12 hours of real-world battery. —-3, Great specs, with all of the new chips from AMDs Ryzen AI series, Snapdragon X series, and Intels Lunar Lake (Ultra Series 2), the RAM is soldered and thus non-upgradable. For my last laptop, I found my day to day use frequently using 85% or more of my 16gb of RAM. On this, I’m seeing that my use was being optimized by windows, and my typical use is closer to 18-19gb of ram. The result is that everything feels faster and even your background tasks are zipping along without a problem. You are also ready for the next 3-5 years that you own this laptop for any future RAM hungry tasks. The Ultra series chip in this laptop is not a class-leader in performance, but realistically, it has more than enough juice for all but professional creative workloads and very CPU intensive games. The upside is the wonderful battery life, which based on my simple testing will push upwards of 18 hours with lower brightness and just a tab or 2 open on a browser. ——-Cons——— 1, trackpad- it is a bit loose on my unit and this is evidently not a one-off as another review mentions this as well, and reviews on other versions of the S 14 and S 16 mention this problem. In my use, its hardly noticeable but it does bug me. Occasionally when I drag my finger across the touch pad it will rattle, and if I tap semi-firmly, it rattles. There’s honestly no excuse for this on a laptop like this at a relatively premium price and otherwise excellent build. However, I’ve tried several different laptops now from the Asus G14 to the Spectre x360 14 to the macbook air and the HP Omnibook Ultra. This is the best of the bunch, even considering this annoyance. So it’s a keeper!

A very good all rounded laptop. very light weight, i live the fact that it is less than 1kg, it is lighter than my lenovo tab!:-). I love the bold and well spaced keys and the keyboard lighting is intelligent. The only downside for me is that the boot time is not as fast as other models in this class and this is before i load all my softwares. i hope it wont slow down more than it is now!

Did quite a bit of research trying to find the best lightweight ultrabook in white with an OLED screen, and narrowed it down to the Dell XPS 13, MS Surface, and Zenbook 14 / S14. Eliminated the XPS as it had a smaller screen, wonky function keys, and no USB-A ports, and MS seemed to be all in on Snapdragon, so that was also out due to its limited software compatibility. Ultimately decided to splurge on the Zenbook S14 even though it cost nearly 50% more than the 14, but offered the same screen size in a thinner / lighter package which I figured would be pay off in daily use. After finally holding it in my hands and using it, I can say it was all worth the investment.

Solid thin and light laptop with great performance. Only got hot during initial updates which is pretty much expected at this point with windows laptops. During normal use its super quiet and cool. Display is amazing and does not that screen door effect that some OLED touchscreen laptops do.

Overall, a great laptop for office and school with the capability of light gaming. If you plan on doing heavy gaming, there are better options, but if you predominantly do work and school, this is an excellent choice, and the picture quality is incredible. I recently started using this laptop with a docking station hooked up to a G9 Samsung OLED screen. The laptop does not have the graphics to push the monitor's limits, but it still looks great. Eventually, I will build a gaming computer, but in the meantime, this is an excellent subsitute for my current needs.

Perfect upgrade compared to the previous S14 series. It has a better CPU, doubles the battery life, and is thinner and prettier. Not so good is audio that at high volume gets fizzy due to laptop being so thin and it doesn't have a 180 degree of capability. I would recommend since a Thinkpad with same components is almost double.

Finally intel and Asus is putting back some nice laptops. Played Black Myth on it and it is actually pretty smooth after adjusting some setting. Plus, the ceralumium is gorgeous!
