    Just started using this new laptop for a week. I have noticed overheating issue which led to screen going black out and I just could not turn it back on. My previous ASUS laptop lasted for 13+ years without any major issues which is the reason why I purchased my 2nd ASUS laptop but it is a bit disappointing.

      We sincerly apologize that your device is currently unable to reboot due to overheating. This is not the kind of quality to expect from our products and it's not the norm. Based on the issue described, we recommend performing a Hard Reset.

      Hard Reset
      1. Remove the AC adapter.
      2. Press and hold the power button for 60 seconds.
      3. Reconnect AC adapter.
      4. Turn on the power of the device.

    Great screen, fast boot-up, nice keyboard, very reflective screen, however, windows install errors are the actual problem.

    Don't get me wrong, this is a great laptop if you're using it for relatively non-demanding tasks. It's beautiful in every way and works great, but because of how thin it is, the thermal restrictions prevent it from being used effectively for most demanding tasks. A base of 24 gb is better than 16 gb, however.

    Had issue with HP and returned exchanged for this one. Less than 2 weeks already started having issues. Shuts down while using it. It was a gift so I have to wait till I can get it back to take it in for replacement.

    Purchased for my son as a gaming laptop, It did not hold up well at all. It was sent off twice due to malfunctioning fans and finally on the 3rd time, Best Buy let me do a return and I used it to purchase him a PC. Best Buy Total Protection was worth the purchase because this laptop was not worth the money.

    Save your money, do not buy Asus S16

    Overheating is a problem. Great specs in a very poor case. Touchscreen stopped working after 4 months, then the camera, and after all, the screen. I believe these problems are all due to the extreme overheating. I noticed a BURN MARK on the casing near the screen hinge. Yes, that is how bad the laptop is designed!!!! Now, a $1,400-Zenbook laptop has a dead screen and lies as a desktop pc connected to a monitor. Save your money and do not buy Asus S16
