I wanted to love this computer, but no such luck. I bought the first and the screen continuously blacked out and the computer would not charge. I exchanged it for another. The second one (also purchased new) was registered to someone else. It kept running hot and would shut off. I also noticed that the batter life was not as advertised as it was very short.
We certainly understand your disappointment and the inconvenience this may have caused. ASUS is an ISO certified company, as a result, all products go into a strict manufacturing standard. All ASUS products undergo intensive quality control testing and inspections that ensure each one is trouble-free. The screen blacking out is typically due to updates being applied in the System Registry during the initial Windows setup. The laptop not charging is a random problem. The second laptop is most likely a return unit if a registered user already exist. Regarding your concern about thermal issues. It is normal for laptop, with the same hardware configuration and regardless of the manufacturer, to generate more heat than normal while under heavy load. When system resource utilization is high, this will generate more heat than normal and tends to trigger the fan to spin at full throttle. Please ensure the air ventilations are free from obstructions in order to have an efficient air flow for better heat dissipation. While running a resource-intensive applications, please ensure no other resource hungry applications are running in the background, this will definitely spike the temperature and may cause an auto-shutdown. The heat or temperature does decreases or normalizes once system resource utilization goes down. To improve or prolong the battery charged time, if it is discharging faster than normal, please try to do battery calibration manually. To start with, please drain it completely then charge it fully without using the system. Once fully charged, please use the system, without the AC adapter connected, and drain it completely again. Please repeat the charging process thereafter. Additionally, check if the laptop is running with the most current system update and third-party battery draining applications are not running if not in use.

I was originally very excited to get this so called latest & greatest Asus Zenbook in Sept 2024. Well shortly after the warranty finished, in Nov 2025 my laptop screen went black. I couldn't contact Asus until after Thanksgiving since my Asus died on Thanksgiving day. I am in my upper 70s in age (on fixed income) and not physically able to get around. I love being on my laptop daily and treat it with kid gloves. What happened to my Asus? I need my Asus!! I can't afford to pay for fixing the computer especially when we don't known what happened! I never had a computer which died on me so quickly...right after the warranty finished??? My previous computers always lasted more the 5 years. PLEASE HELP!

I haven't learned how to use everything on this computer yet, but everything I have used has been amazing! The face ID is super convenient.

I was really excited to buy this laptop after reading all the reviews about its performance and amazing battery life.
However, I think I have to return mine because the battery is awful.
I’ve installed all the possible updates, but it’s still disappointing.
I lost 20%!!! of the charge in just one hour of web browsing and copying files, even in balanced mode.
Overall, the performance is just okay, similar to any other new laptop. My previous Surface Studio laptop, which had half the RAM and an older processor, was faster at activating the camera for Windows Hello.
It’s sad to see such a beautiful laptop perform so poorly.

The new AMD chips don’t seem to live up to the hype. Performance is fine, but behind M-series and Snapdragon chips in my workflows. There are also a lot of the typical AMD graphical glitches on my machine. The touchpad is ok, but not as good as you find on Surface machines. The finish is also a bit bizarre; it doesn’t look very professional. All in all: a fine machine, but nothing special. I was hoping for more from the new Ryzen chips.

The machine started making a loud noise less than a month after I bought it. Since several days had passed, I couldn't return it. I checked online and found that this is a common problem, and it's difficult to repair, and they won't replace the machine. Repairs would cost money, and I don't want to spend more money on a machine I just bought. It would be better to just buy a new one. So, what options do I have now?

Not a big fan of Asus. Constant little glitches that support always says to just reboot. Battery isn't the best either even with power management. Settings are done through the Asus app which makes it even more difficult.

Great build and specs of the laptop but got an insane amount of Blue Screen of Death errors that caused too many restarts and made the laptop horrible to use. Tried different ssd drives and windows 11 reinstall too. Could be a faulty unit but the specs on this laptop is great
