    Good laptop, but backlight was too bright

    I thought the computer was good, but the backlit keyboard was way too bright even on the lowest setting. I had to close the laptop lid while turning to the backlight down so I didn't blind other people on the airplane. The touchpad could also be better, mechanical just isn't that helpful.

    Extremely frustrating. I was hoping that it would work fine, but it didn't. Wifi is horrible even after updating the drivers. After talking to support on line. After going to best buy to have it checked. Google Earth some times doesn't open; I had to open it in safe mode. The internet connection comes in and out. My Nimo laptop that I bought reads downloads of 550 to 600 mbs versus this Asus at 25 to 50 mbs side by side. What I love is the backlit keyboard, the light weight, the OLED touch Screen and has amazing speaker system. But none of this is important if the laptop doesn't work. I'm going to return it. Spent a lot of time trying to make it work but I think it has serious issues with BIOS and the internet says that the ASUS battery management system is to blame.

    Defective ASUS laptop(s)

    I generally like ASUS laptops, but I had a bad experience, actually several, with this one. The first one I bought constantly overheated. GeekSquad tried to repair it but to no avail, so they replaced it. The replacement had a bad motherboard, so that got replaced as well, but with a different brand. The odds of getting 2 bad ones should be fairly low, so maybe there is some issue with this particular model.

    Excellent handheld, basically improves on all aspects from the first gen including much better triggers and better battery life. Only thing is it's noticeably heavier.

    Design is excellent. The laptop looks beautiful. Speakers are awesome. Screen is nice but very very glossy. Port selection is good. Windows felt snappy overall. Track pad is pretty solid. Battery life seemed okay. The biggest problem was how hot the keyboard and bottom felt when performing heavy tasks. Very hot to touch. Would burn your skin if touching. The fans would run while even watching 4K video on YouTube. This was a turn off for me so I returned the device. Most reviews have the same concerns with the heat so it is not isolated to this unit it is a design flaw across the board.

    Lightweight, but very easy hot in summer for 2 reason: + Main issue is AI taken too much performance. + Design isn't good enough for cooling device.

    Honestly really mid, don’t think it’d worth it at all unless it’s on sale, and I would recommend you trying to get protection on it since it’s breaking on me already

    This location was so helpful. I had water damage in my laptop during finals week and needed to get at my notes. The assistant helped with that and helped me pick out a new laptop that met my needs.
