Awesome laptop and got a great deal on it at Best Buy!

I've had this laptop for a week and a half and I have made up my mind, I am going to return it this weekend. It makes me a little sad that I have to do this. It's an incredible laptop. It's thin, light, and powerful. Its screen is great. Its hinge and its chassis feel very solid. But I have heard of way too many complaints online about the internal display cable failing after a short period of time. It's not a routine failure due to wear, it's almost completely random. Some people's laptops fail weeks or months after they bought it. I've seen a few people claim it failed just weeks after the 1y warranty window. If it does fail, you have to replace the entire display. Aside from the theoretical risk, I've noticed a recurring firmware issue that annoys me. Twice so far, when I opened the laptop from sleep, its CPU was stuck at its minimum clockspeed and everything was extremely sluggish. I had to restart the laptop to fix this. I've never experienced this before on a laptop. And yes, I am on the latest BIOS. Given that this CPU and this laptop are last generation's models, I doubt this issue will ever get fixed.

Beautiful screen, battery last much longer than average windows laptop. Im impressed with this new AMD CHIP. Great experience so far. Only down side is track pad if it is glass it would make this 10/10

Bought this system to replace my wife's system. She loves the size and weight and it has been working well. Great system so far!

This is an excellent machine with one flaw. Premium construction, keyboard, battery life and a very nice light weight. The big screen is gorgeous too, except it is glossy and reflects so much light that it's kind of distracting. It would be perfect otherwise, so if a glossy screen doesn't bother, this is the laptop to get.

I am thrilled about this purchase. This is a superb laptop, with a fast response and outstanding graphics. I can perform multiple tasks without any trouble. While I hesitated on buying an ASUS product (this is the first one I’ve ever had), the advice I got at Best Buy was indeed the best: this is an excellent buy. I would totally recommend this laptop!

This thing is seriously awesome, and I'm so glad I got it. It handles everything my wife throws at it with her drawing tablet. Plus, all the art programs and other creative software run flawlessly, which is a huge relief. No lag or glitches, just pure smooth performance! I highly recommend it.

Purchased laptop for work looking for an alternative to the Macbook Air 15. Pros: Lightweight OLED display is sharp and bright Performance - in regular Office type tasks and Web - felt snappy Design - I thought it looked clean and professional Ports - good selection of ports Ease of setup - been trying out Snapdragon laptops and had trouble getting printers and scanners to work it was nice to just have everything that needed to be installed just install without issues Cons/Issues: My unit had intermittent screen flickers Runs hot you don't notice the fans to much but it's hot like a gaming laptop hot just doing normal stuff Came without "Old" MS Outlook and subsequently the Mail setting in Control Panel which made it impossible to setup Exchange settings for Outlook Mail. New Outlook doesn't support Exchange Mail and I couldn't find a way to download Old Outlook and Old Control Panel. Ultimately returned for this reason It's a nice laptop that ticks off a lot of boxes. The screen flicker issue might be just with the specific unit. The heat is worrisome but I guess it's expected for something this thin. Ultimately the inablity to setup my Exchange email along with the flickering screen had me returning it, but this has me looking at some of the other laptops with this processor.
