Its an excellent monitor as long as you know how to use it. I had issues with the monitor connecting with specfic devices if it used a TB3 or TB4 cable or even a DP cable. It had to be a regular usb C cable. I found out later I needed to upgrade the software and it worked with these cables. The screen is decently bright for inside use, clear, and 1080p. The colors also looked decent, though im used to having nothing but oled screens, so it seemed a bit washed out though not too bad. It only has 60hz so dont expect a great gaming experience. For daily productivity or netflix and crunchyroll use its great as a second screen and specially 2hen you can get it for 50 dollars on sale.

I work from home and normally have my laptop screen and an full size monitor i work with; but I can’t haul a 24in monitor everywhere we go. This monitor is fully functional and the same size as my laptop screen. I do recommend purchasing an hdmi to usb-c cord to connect the laptop to your travel monitor. Other than that, this is absolutely perfect and the best purchase ive made for work all year!

If you need a portable monitor, these are a very effective and elegant solution. They are easy to toss in your laptop bag and very easy to connect to any laptop that uses usb-a or usb-c. If only these could also connect to a Nintendo Switch, they would be perfect.

Great portable monitor. Light weight. Simple. Not compatible with Mac is the only downfall.

This s teen is a game changer; I love it! I work remote so I often go to a coffee shop to work just to change it up the s energy….this screen is thin, and the cover/stand is a cool design and space saver. I previously had a portable screen that burned out after a few months; that one also required two inputs (one for power). This screen only requires one cable and it essentially was plug n play with my work and personal laptops. I code so I find this additional screen large enough and crap to be useful too

I bought this to use with my laptop. It is a perfect size for a portable monitor to carry with my laptop. The monitor is easy to setup and change the settings to either landscape or portrait. There are many other settings that I haven't needed to change at this point, but nice to have the options. I wish it came with a sleeve to protect the front and back of the monitor. The cover that comes with it does a great job as a stand for either portrait or landscape. It stays attached as a cover. I'll probably look for a sleeve to put the monitor in so when I put it in my bag it is better protected.

4/5 for because it was a bit pricier but the quality of this screen is great. I bought it not only because I wanted another screen to work from home with, it is great for travel. It came with the usb plug and adaptor and works on both windows and mac computers. All I had to do was plug it in and it was automatically connected. I will note the case is a bit confusing. The instructions are not well drawn out on how to best use the case as a stand. In the beginning it kept sliding off but after looking at the reviews I realized I was using it wrong. (see photos in other reviews for correct way to use it.) Just a note - case only does so much for protection so I'd be careful while travelling!

I work from home but always use two monitors, if not three, so working anywhere other than my home docking system was severely cutting into productivity. I picked up this monitor as an open box model and was really impressed! It connected immediately, just plug it in and hit the power button. The one small cord is easy to carry. This thing is incredibly light weight. I was shocked! Everyone asks about the monitor when I’m out at a coffee shop. I always tell them to pick it up and see how light it is! I travel for work and am happy to always have this with me. The image is crisp and bright, probably more so than my Dell laptop. The screen protector is perfect for providing some protection - though my only significant complaint is the stability of the stand. The screen protector comes off and folds into a stand, but every time I use it, it takes me a good couple of minutes to figure out how to make the screen stand up. It’s not intuitive and the directions are just images that hardly make sense. There is a video on the Asus site which was helpful and I am hoping with more time I get the muscle memory for it, but I am always fighting with it falling over. The other day I gave up and used a wooden easel though I won’t be carrying that everywhere.

Great for road warriors - very portable with excellent resolutions and high quality

I wanted a portable second screen for my laptop, to be able to put away at the end of the work day, and this fits the bill. Good quality screen, and it's a good size. I do wish the monitor protector, which serves also as a stand, were better designed. In order to use the monitor protector as a stand, you have to take it out of the protector - you can't just fold it back on itself, which is how my ipad protector works. Also, it could have been designed for more stability - some days it takes me a while before the monitor doesn't seem to slip. Overall, I'm very pleased and highly recommend.

Absolutely LOVE this portable monitor! The display is clear and bright. It is incredibly easy to setup - literally plug and play. I also love that the case folds into the stand. It’s very thin and light so it’s perfect for travel. I use a travel backpack and the screen is thin enough to bundle back-to-back with my laptop in my laptop compartment of my backpack. The usb-c cable comes with an adapter to convert it to usb-A. I cannot recommend this highly enough for anyone working from home! It is WELL worth the investment.

This monitor is great for traveling. When I am home or in the office I am used to having two monitors. This makes working while traveling much easier. The screen has good resolutions, is light weight, and seems durable. The integrated stand works better than I expected, and is surprisingly sturdy. The only negative I have is minor. Blues appear a bit off compared to other monitors. If color accuracy is very important, you might need to look for other options.

I’ve used other portable monitors in the past and while this one is NOT perfect, it beats the others. I use it mostly for my work-issued laptop but lately I have been using it more for my phone and other devices. I have an older Samsung Galaxy phone and this thing was literally plug and play. I've tried it on multiple different devices using both the USB -C cable by itself and with the USB converter and came out with good results. Only device i had problems with was my Lenovo Surface knockoff from about 4 years ago. It refused to work with the USB-C cable by itself but worked fine when used with the USB converter. (Important: If you plan on using the USB converter, make sure to download and install the Displaylink drivers beforehand) The best part about this monitor is the fact that it doesn't need a separate power cord. All it takes is just one USB cable. Again it's not the cheapest portable monitor available but this one uses a USB-C connector on both ends and it's not some unknown generic brand you find flooding other major retail sites. Also the cheaper portable monitors out there typically use cheap and/or outdated connectors and tend to lose connectivity with the slightest bump or touch. They can be very delicate if you ask anyone who has used one. This one is not. It’s been over a month and the connectors still feel good and most of all, not loose. I thought about returning it for a cheaper model but after experiencing virtually no issues for over a month, I decided I’m not only going to keep it but start recommending it to all my colleagues and friends.

Great picture and easy to use. The only negative is the stand to hold it up and act as a cover. Not easy to put on as a cover or use as a stand to hold it. Does not feel very durable.
