Was a good watch until it had a system update. Once that happened the watch would die in half a day.

    The Smartwatch to buy!

I'm a first gen Moto 360 owner and as much as I liked having a smart watch never did a day pass where I didn't have to put it on its charger. The ZenWatch 2 I'm wearing now hadn't been charged in 52 hours and is still at 31% charge. It's thinner and includes a spreadsheet so I can answer calls on the watch via the Bluetooth connection to the phone. You cannot bear the price, performance and looks of this Smartwatch!

I absolutely love this watch. Best Christmas gift I received and one of my favorites ever. Screen is clear and bright. Read and reply to texts, email, view your calendar, remote control your smartphone camera, use Google Keep, calculator, reminders, and using Google Now works just great. The watch answers just about anything I would look up in Google. Battery life is the best I've seen. I got this for an extremely great deal. Keep in mind I had to update the Asus firmware and the Android OS in order to get everything working. I have it paired with my Note 5 and once I upgraded the watch to Android 6.0.1, everything works perfectly. It's water resistant and I can even draw little shapes and send emoji's to other who have an Android wear smartwatch. Just a great watch.

    Best smartwatch for the money

I have had this watch for over a year and while I was disappointed initially, I have come appreciate all the features over time. You can answer phone calls from the watch (if your hearing is good, speaker is tiny) and even respond to texts, plus get all the alerts that go to your phone without pulling out your phone. Lots of watch faces (comes with 60). Decent battery life if you don't crank up the brightness too high. Built in Asus fitness app tracks exercise, steps, calories, distance, sleep (you have to enable that every night to track it). Lacks a heart monitor but that's not a deal breaker for most people. Biggest downside is it is pretty much impossible to see in bright sun and you do have to recharge it every couple of days. But those problems are common to other smart watches that in some cases will not even do what this watch does, for two or three times the price. I like the thin, rectangle format, which has been replaced by thick round format in ZenWatch 3. Can't beat it for the price, especially now with closeout prices.

The Asus Zenwatch 2 is a great smartwatch. The price is also affordable. It comes with Android Wear software. It's a little bit buggy at times but overall it's smooth. Hoping to get updated to Android Wear 2.0 soon. I get notifications on the watch without ever looking at my phone. I can also make calls and text directly on the watch because it has a built-in microphone and speaker. I like the Asus Zenwatch 2!g

I got the ASUS zenwatch 2 as my first ever smartwatch. The day it came, the packaging looked very elegant, and the watch had a great look. It works perfectly with easy setup. I would recommend this to any smartwatch buyer!

    Horrible Warranty Experience

    Posted .

I was fairly satisfied with the watch for the first couple of months until the touchscreen became unresponsive. I called and obtained an RMA and returned the watch. After a few days, I recieved a replacement which was a completely different color. I called ASUS and was told by the first two levels of support that this was normal procedure and there was nothing I could do about it. Finally at the third level of support someone acknowledged that this should not have happened and offered to track down the issue. Still waiting to hear back, but not hopeful at all. I read the warranty front to back and no where does it mention that a watch of an entirely different color can be substituted. A completely different color might be acceptable for some products, but for a watch it is not. It doesn't match the original band or the replacement band I bought. That's right...they didn't even send the band that was designed to match this new color.
