    After reading reviwes went out got the set, but it did not conncet to the internet the way it was intended and when it did it would not find the other router working as the mesh. Returned it got another set got the same problems. Asus tech support sucks!

    I like the system and all the settings. I do have some issues with it not handing off devices between the nodes.

    Frequent disconnects and resets

    After using this router for many months, I need to recommend this Asus router not be purchased. It randomly and frequently disconnects to cable modem. It happens about 3 times per week. I am using a new, recently installed cable modem from Spectrum, which I doubt is the problem. I check for firmware updates often and only 1 has been available since purchase in the spring. I also have programmed the router to automatically reset twice per week. I've given up and purchased a Netgear WiFi 6 orbi mesh router and will place this unreliable ASUS router in deep storage.

    I was having a problems with Asus mesh routers. I bought one and it had issues and I contacted their technician and he was not able to fix it. So I returned it back to Best Buy and I bought another one. When I brought it home it was having the same issues and I called their technician again and he was not able to fix the problem again. So then I took it back and I bought another brand and it works perfectly with no problems at all. Almost a MONTH later I received a call from Asus letting me know that they have resolved that problem that I was having. I have been using Asus products for many years now and have had NO problems with any of them until now. Evidently, their quality control has dropped off in their router department. This is NOT the way you hold on to valued customers.

    when it works - it is great. However, if you start to encounter issues you are out of luck. Mine was WAN (internet) connection keeps dropping. Going back and forth firmware versions, advanced setting, Asus support etc - didn't help and I ended up returning the system. I am not planning to get another one as the unit itself is not defective - it is software bugs. Waiting to a new firmware version at unknown point in time in the future that might fix the issues is unacceptable. I expect a +$400 system to be (almost) flawless and it is not. It is better to wait for the WiFi-6E systems which going to be game changers.

    Received on 9/30/2020, installed and worked great for 22 days. Day 22 one unit stopped producing a WiFi signal. I’ve factory reset, rollbacked firmware, and about anything else I could think of. So frustrating for $450. I’ve tried to return to Best Buy and was told I was out of the return window which is unbelievable. Might be my last purchase with Best Buy!

    I was really excited to get this system. It came highly recommended by sites like cnet.com. When I got it in, setup was a breeze but I noticed issues almost immediately. Devices connected to the second node would connect to WiFi but could not get to the internet. I bought this device back in April and have been working with Asus support since then with no luck. I missed my return window and really regret not returning it at this point. Now I am stuck waiting on Asus to figure out a solution. So far I've been working with them for over 4 months so I'm not expecting much. Very bad investment...
