The phone has static and echoing issues. I contacted customer service after using the trouble shooting guide and customer service only made the same suggestions. The phones continue to have reception issues.

    Ok but two major flaws

    Posted .

The phones work as expected: clear connections (handset and speakerphone), good range. However, there are two design faults that significantly detract from the phone: 1. You can only screen incoming calls at the base answering machine unit (my predecessor Panasonic automatically screened calls at all phones) unless you pick up a remote handset and press [Select] after the message prompt is played to the caller. Each phone DOES announce the Caller ID automatically. Unless you have a handset or the base unit close by, that means you must get up and go to a handset to screen the call, which is inconvenient. It should at least be an option to automatically screen incoming messages on all handsets. 2. The answering machine only records the DAY and time of recorded calls, not the DATE; if you are listening to an old message, you may have no idea what day the call was recorded (WHICH Wednesday?). This is an unnecessary annoyance since the Caller ID includes the date info (that is how the phone automatically sets its time and date).

After only 2 weeks of use, ALL 4 phones sound like they are solid snow, and the other persons (at the other end,) sound distorted and VERY SNOWY/'STATICY' - WORSE than the older phones I was replacing!!

I've used the phone for a couple of months and am pleased with the sound quality and the many available features offered. Unlike most of today's electronic devices, that use micro print that is hard to read, this system is very user friendly. I have yet to use the Bluetooth functions, so I can't comment on how well that works, but if it's like the rest of the system, I have no reason to doubt it will function as advertised.

    Good Home Phone System

I bought this phone system to replace a similar one that had taken years of abuse from my kids. It was on sale when I bought it, so it was cheaper to replace the whole system than replace two handsets on the old system. It was very easy to set-up and it has great range within my 5K square foot house. It is very easy to use, has very clear reception and the handset locator really helps when the kids misplace handsets. Having the four handsets was really a plus for me. My purchase was significantly influenced by the price, as it was on sale at the time I bought it. I would recommend this for folks looking for a landline system.

    Handsets Needed Rebooting

    Posted .

I have an earlier version (6 months old) of this model. In general, they are easy to use and have good sound quality. I find the intercom capability especially handy to pass word to kids and spouse in various corners of the house that breakfast or dinner is ready, without screaming my head off! My complaint is that two of the four handsets mysteriously stopped getting a dial tone (again, the set is less than 6 months old). I checked the AT&T website which recommended unplugging the battery and then plugging it back in - effectively rebooting the handset. This seems to have fixed the problem, but you really shouldn't need to do that on something as simple as a phone. I have had a few different brands of multi-handset cordless phones over the years, and have never had to reboot a handset.
