Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I tried the Phoenix 3 and I'm currently on the Phoenix plus but, still own the 4 with a broken screen I would prefer to replace. The fluidity of the device is good along with it's crisp photos and videos. It does what you need well enough. Call quality isn't sharp and the speaker is rather low. I've only came across lag using the Google drive app docs but, if you open the word app, excell, presentation directly it's good. The battery life is great. It beat my expectations and it's still great today. I wish it did come with the fingerprint scanner as it advertise but it doesn't. the screen is crisp and vibrant on colors compared to the Plus. It's also slightly faster in opening apps in comparison to the Plus. The size is perfect for those needing a even 5' device to hold and use in one hand. It took a few drops before the screen broke so it's more durable than a iPhone for sure. Especially if you don't drop it on the corner of the phone inwhich, is the weak point. Overall it's a good buy but, because the Plus is out and gives you a little more battery power 500 mAh, NFC, Fingerprint sensor, up to date software for 10.00 more. It's probably best to jump to the Plus. However, if you don't want to spend 60 than going for the 4 is great. It's truly the same phone as the plus but, without the above extras mentioned.

Great starter phone w 720 screen

More ram, 720 HD screen..much snappier than your basic phone. I was pleasantly pleased with what you get for the money. In the future I will get it unlocked to use overseas... happy holidays

My only complaint is that it's thin and is very slippery in the hands. Definitely buy a good case if you plan on using this phone. It's got a nice screen and is easy to use for beginners.
