Good smartphone. Screen size and performance is good. Unfortunately, little is available is that app.

Phone is great for the price - lacking on the app store but you already know that buying a windows phone.

At sub $50 one cannot get a better quality phones. Size, battery life, voice quality are better than expected. Although Windows Phone is less than popular, for me it does the trick. Interface is easy and intuitive plus all the apps I need are available.

I've owned Apple and Android, but recently started using Windows phones. The Microsoft Lumia 640 is my second Windows phone. PRO: Good HD resolution (1280x720) on a 5" IPS screen. Replaceable battery. Upgradeable memory (microSD up to 128 GB). Here maps that can be downloaded--no dataplan for basic GPS directions. Lumia Live Image photos (still + video). CON: Medium battery life (only lasts about 1.5-2 days with reduced brightness, no GPS). App selection is good, but not overwhelming (like others). BOTTOM LINE: Strongly recommended for those who don't require iOS or Android apps.

Excellent battery. I prefer the layout of Windows Mobile over Android. The layout feels more organized. Phone is very responsive. Pictures are okay but are probably better than any other cheap smart phone in this price range. GPS is top notch and pleasant to use. Bluetooth works well as it was connected to my cars Bluetooth. I even bought a few of these phone for my kids to use on wifi without cell service. They use Skype on wifi which is preinstalled to text and call me when I'm at work. In my opinion this is one of the better budget smart phones on the market.

i wonder what else in terms of hardware and OS other handsets give that they cost at least 10X more. This sub $50 handset is just great in terms og hardware, looks sleep, works super fast feature wise neck to neck. if u r okey with Windows mobile as OS...this is the best thing money can buy...oh did i forgot to tell its contract free ATT go phone...

Awesome phone for the money and it's pretty fast waiting for Windows 10 to come out though.

I have purchased several 640's now, some for gifts, I like it so much. Moving from android, I am very happy with the way windows optimizes the processor, it never lags. Android becomes slow over time, so many apps continue to run dragging performance and battery life. The tiles are a treat. access and info at a glance on the homescreen. Cortana works great, especially hands free in car with Bluetooth, verbal texting is a breeze! The only negatives are screen washout in sun, and lack of apps, but every one I used on android is here, and the drive navigation app is flawless. At this price, windows will definitely win over skeptics.

Amazing phone for the price. Better screen and camera than I expected. I originally purchased this as a temporary replacement for a much more expensive phone but ended up keeping it permanently. Just add a 64gb memory card and SIM and go!

This phone has a great display, it's bright and clear. Sometime this year it should receive the Windows 10 upgrade, that will give the same look as my computer. I installed a 64 GB memory chip to save music and documents. I have put a lot on the chip including apps and have plenty of storage left. A great phone without spending a lot.

I like this phone because of how simple it is to use, cortana assistant is great, very few times it misses the query, here drive plus is the best nav app i have ever use, i would recommend this to a friend

Perfect phone for my son. Good size screen, front/rear camera which was key for him.

I bought this phone because my son had one, and the price fit my limited budget. I have nothing bad to say about it. It is a great phone, and Microsoft offers a ton of apps, so i am sure you will find whatever you are looking for there. The picture quality while watching videos is very good, and the camera takes great pictures. I would highly recommend this phone to anyone. You won't be disappointed.

Just the right size, colors on screen are great,. Easy to manuver between apps.

Bought two of these during Thanksgiving sale. They came with Windows Mobile 8.1 but I soon updated one of them to Windows Mobile 10 (Insider preview) without any issues. The battery life is great and this is a very nice upgrade from Lumia 635 which I bought in 2014. This is also a perfect gift to anyone.

This was our 1st Windows 8.1 Mobile OS -device and so far has been great and got it during Black Friday 2015. The camera is fantastic at the $ 30 price point. Looks much better than my 2013 Moto G. This also has a removable battery which is becoming more rare. Hoping to get WIndows 10 Mobile OS soon.
