I really loved it, very good smart phone at this price

Got this phone on a very good sale, and works excellently

I had the 635 before this one. I loved Nokia and even though Microsoft bought them out, I got this one. I liked windows phones, but when it comes to some apps they aren't as compatible. I have a different phone now, but I still use this one on wi-fi, as a camera and as a backup contact list.

First off, I bought this phone for my parents. Since all the reviews ive read say the Lumia 640 is a good phone(it is actually a GREAT phone!) and for $30 Too, i couldnt pass on this deal. Since my parents are elderly i wanted this as more of a backup/emergency phone for them. I intended to use another provider (Ting) instead of AT&T since $30 per month minimum for service through AT&T is way too much. Upon signing up for service with Ting i was notified that the phone is locked to AT&Ts network and it is at their discretion to unlock it. So i contacted AT&T they said this phone must have been activated on AT&Ts network for at least 6 months before they will unlock it for use with other carriers. That really SUCKS! Keep this in mind before buying. Had i known that i wouldnt have bought it!

I am happy with this phone. The downside is the battery life and apps. I placed the battery life on battery saver. It is very easy to use. Forget about a manual. Remember, you are using a small computer. The download is fast, and it works better than a phone costing $600.00 and up.

I upgraded from a Lumia 635 and this 640 is a big jump up. I now have a front facing camera and the screen resolution is great. If you're an iOS or Android snob, perhaps you won't like it -- but for someone who likes Windows Phones and the move toward Continuum, this upgrade was a no brainer.

It is cheap and good for phone calls only. People who can't afford costly phone can go with this. Lack of apps so it is not good for applications use. Not that user friendly.

Does everything I need and more. Another nice thing about it is that it supports Windows 10 Mobile which I'm planning on upgrading this week.

I really like the phone and it is a steal at this price. The real drawback for me is I need to use this phone to make free video calls on face book to family in Ecuador. When I try It says internet exployer does not support video calling on face book. Android phones all work with Google Chrome and Foxfire for video calling on face book. If anyone knows a way to make this work I would be very grateful. As it is the phone is only a back up phone

i have unlocked this phone from AT&T website in 3 days.phone is good i brought 2 phones as gifts.i will recommend this phone to friends.

This is good for reasonable price. If you work a lot on phone, then you should buy more updated phone.

It is certainly worth the price. Nice, sturdy and responsive. I like it.

Good smartphone for basic, Messaging, Text and few more stuffs.

I bought this on sale to try out the Windows Phone environment. It seems to have promise, considering the nice hardware specs at the time. However, there is really no viable Windows App store. Android and Apple really had a big head start, and has left Microsoft in the dust.

Great phone for $30 price with excellent tech specifications.

The selling is deceptive, the fine print says you need to buy AT&T prepaid for 3 months. The the phone is eligible for other carriers. That means you spend $100 for that and a Microsoft phone is not worthy of that.
