Customers are saying

Customers are positive about the Motorola Moto E's price, ease of use, camera quality, battery life, and screen size. Many appreciate its features and performance for the price point, although some express concern regarding the limited internal memory. The inclusion of an FM radio is also a frequently cited positive. A lack of flash is mentioned as a drawback by a few users.

Bought 2 of the Moto E's. Also have Moto G's in the family. I have to tell you that the Moto E is a great phone for the price. Call quality is excellent, the high capacity battery keeps the phone going well beyond a day. Add to that Gorilla Glass and a water resistant coating and you have a fantastic phone. Even the camera takes very good pictures. I've had a variety of android and apple phones, and for the price of this phone and reliability of Motorola you just can't beat it! I even bought a spare one I like it so much.

The US versions of the phone won't get updates to Marshmallow, while almost every other country will. Vote with your wallet and find a different device.

    Couldn't be happier

I'll start by saying I'm not a big-time smartphone guy. I know there are wonderful products out there, but not for me. Having said that, I count my purchase of this phone as a major victory. I got it for 50 bucks on sale, with the first month of service for free! It does everything I need it to do, and yet doesn't inundate me with useless information and offers. My favorite part is the talk to text. Not having to fumble with an on-screen keyboard anymore is priceless in itself. I love the texture of the back of the phone. It has a slight rubbery feel, that grips really well. I bought my wife a 1st gen moto-e, and it had a smooth back. I like this MUCH better. The camera is not a game-changer, but I don't fancy myself a photographer. Yet when I need to take a photo of something, guess what? I HAVE A PHOTO, and it works just fine. I do miss a flash, but not enough to downgrade a star. I thought about going 4 stars on this because of the flash, but it's not important enough. I can't leave out that I'm very satisfied with AT & T service too. I think the choice of a carrier is huge in the decision to purchase any phone, and this is a good combination. The GPS is awesome too, I mean really awesome. It's hard to believe that it does everything that a stand-alone GPS unit that costs hundreds of dollars just a few years ago does. Even tells me which lane to be in. If you need a smartphone to have the capabilities at your disposal, and you're not hung up on flashiness, get this one. You can't lose.

Okay, so I've NEVER used a prepaid phone before and my mom needs a phone when she goes out and call her friends when she's home. I had to decided if I should add her onto my family share plan which costs a lot for occasional usage or just get a prepaid phone. I'm glad I got this phone at my local bestbuy for $43 on sale with a $25/90 days card. As for as I'm concerned, in some areas, it's even better than my samsung galaxy s4. I'm pretty happy. I downloaded Google Hangout / Dialer, so when she's home, she can call any u.s phone for free over wifi.. The reason for the 4 star rather than the 5 star really has to do with the activation process. I wanted to activate the phone and choose the $.10 a minute pay-as-you-go plan. But neither the dial in option nor the at&t website offered it during the activation process. So I had to choose the $30 monthly plan just to get over the process. However after the activation was done, I didn't get a text nor confirmation of what my phone number will be (and what my temporary pin is), so I couldn't log into the website to change the plan nor add minutes. I dialed the 611 line, from there switched to technical support and was able to quickly reach an AT&T rep who was SUPER helpful. She told me what my phone number is, sent me a text of the temporary pin, added the $25 card to my account and changed my rate plan to the pay as you go $.10/min plan all under 5 minutes. Other than thatt, I have to say I'm super happy.

    All You Really Need

I hesitated when it came to getting a smartphone for a long time because I'm not a social media junkie, I have no interest in playing video games or watching films on a phone, and I could care less about having a camera built into my phone. However, I am an Ebay seller so I finally caved and that's when I found this phone. It ranges from 50-60 dollars and it does everything I need. It has Google Chrome pre-installed and with Chrome I can keep track of my Ebay auctions, and it has a pre-installed Gmail app so I can stay in touch with potential buyers and whanot. It also has a decent pre-installed music player, holds a charge for long time. In short, the Moto E is great for parents who don't want to spend a fortune on a phone for their kid, and its great for those who aren't total app/social media junkies, but the phone does use Android so it can run any of the apps the Galaxy can.
