I have an old iPhone 5 and it was simple to just pop it in and I was off and using the phone. I was able to set it up for a $2.00/day plan since I don't use it much.

AT&T GoPhone Sim Kit is the way to go. Comes with all the different size Sim cards so it fits on any cell phone Sim slot old or new. Activation is a cinch, no problem at all.

The following is provided since previous reviews at Best Buy and info at AT&T conflicted. First, this SIM cannot be activated overseas (for those who had hoped it’d be ready to go when you get off the plane); you must be physically in the states to activate. AT&T has NO chat service for go phone questions. Finally, there is no expiration date per se on a new go phone. You can set up an on-line go phone account but will be unable to access it since that requires a "temporary password" which will be sent to the go phone (SIM) concerned. Since there is no go phone service overseas, you cannot access any info or actions related to a new go phone account until you're in the states.

It was very easy to change to new network from this diehard Virgin Mobile customer. Virgin just had too many hoops to jump thru... so far no issues.

The SIM card was easy to set up & plans offered were very reasonable. Phone worked well with data & talk. Not always connect to LTE, but voice was good connection.

After 2 weeks the card is acting up and may have to return it. Keeps saying it can be read, but only sometimes, like when you really need it to work. May just be the card, had good experience every other time
